Capítulo 1793: Story 1793: Threads of Trial

The Unmaking pulsed again—deeper, heavier—sending tremors through each sealed corridor. The Heart was not simply watching. It was testing, probing their essence, pulling at the knots of fear and identity within each of them.

And for Erian, Marra, Tovin, and Lun, the trials began to tighten like snares around the spirit.

Erian

The gold-lit world flickered as each version of him stepped forward—heroes, cowards, villains, corpses.

They circled him like judges.

The broken Erian—the one with hollow eyes and trembling hands—spoke again:

“Who do you choose to let fall so the rest survive?”

Erian clenched his fists. “No. I don’t choose anyone.”

The monstrous version laughed—a deep, distorted growl.

“Every world demands a sacrifice. Every thread breaks sowhere.”

Visions flashed: Marra dying in battle, Tovin dissolving into chaos, Lun shattering, the Loomchild unraveling like torn silk.

His chest tightened.

“This isn’t real,” he told himself.

But another Erian whispered behind him:

“It could be.”

Erian drew a breath—steady, painful.

“I choose none. And if the Weave demands loss… then I’ll change the Weave.”

The gold world shuddered—cracking, resisting—

And the circle of versions shrank back, their forms flickering with uncertainty.

His trial was not won… but his thread brightened.

Marra

The rust-red battlefield pressed in, echoing with the silence of helplessness.

She reached instinctively for blades that weren’t there.

The shadows advanced.

Every step they took reminded her of every mont she had felt unworthy, unnoticed, left behind.

“What do you fight with,” the voice asked again,

“when you have nothing left?”

Marra’s breath hitched.

“I…”

A tremor ran through her arms.

“I don’t know.”

The shadows rushed forward.

Panic flared—then sothing inside her snapped.

“No.”

She straightened—fists clenched.

“I don’t fight with weapons. I am the weapon.”

Her fists ignited with crimson light—raw, burning, desperate.

She swung.

The shadows shattered like brittle thread.

The battlefield roared with color.

Marra bared her teeth.

“Forgotten? Powerless? Not anymore.”

Her path began to glow.

Tovin

The storm of chaotic colors consud him, threads whipping like feral beasts.

The massive mutated thread—the monster made from his fear—lood over him.

“You are instability made flesh,” it hissed.

“A walking accident.”

Tovin shook violently. “I know! Trust —I know!”

The monster lunged.

Tovin flinched—

Then sothing in him erupted.

Not fear.

Not panic.

Defiance.

“I’m not an accident—I’m possibility!”

His thread surged outward, colors stabilizing—still wild, still chaotic, but deliberate.

He grasped the mutated thread and forced it still.

“For once,” he whispered, “I choose what I beco.”

The storm cald.

Lun

The cracked silver void felt colder with every breath.

The shadow version of them—dark, hollow—advanced with soft, accusing steps.

“You hide your fractures,” it whispered.

“You break alone. You pretend healing instead of seeking it.”

Lun’s hands shook. “I had to be strong… for them. For the Loomchild.”

The shadow lifted a hand.

“Then let carry what you won’t.”

It pressed its palm to Lun’s chest.

Silver light surged—painful, blinding—

But the cracks in their thread began to nd.

Shadow rging with silver.

Weakness becoming part of strength.

Lun whispered, “We face this together.”

The shadow smiled—and dissolved into them.

The four threads re-erged into the central chamber—glowing, strengthened, trembling.

The Loomchild gasped, relief flooding their light.

“You survived… all of you.”

The Heart Beneath All Threads pulsed.

“THE TRIALS ARE NOT FINISHED.”

The chamber shook violently.

“NOW FACE WHAT YOU FEAR AS ONE.”

A shape rose from the void—colossal, impossible.

A being woven from every fracture, every failure, every regret.

The Unmaking made manifest.
