The path of blinding threadlight spiraled downward, twisting like a living helix. Each step humd beneath their feet—ancient, resonant, unsettling. The deeper they descended, the colder the light beca, shifting from warm gold to sharp, crystalline blue.

Behind them, the echoes of the Fractured Titan faded into silence.

Ahead of them... sothing waited.

The Loomchild hovered close, voice hushed.

“The Source is not a creature. Not a place. It is what the Weave refused to keep.”

Tovin shivered. “So... like a cosmic trash bin of nightmares.”

“Worse,” the Loomchild whispered. “A truth the universe couldn’t bear.”

The path ended abruptly at a vast chamber.

A hollow sphere floated in the center—cracked, trembling, its interior swirling with dark strands that moved like starving serpents. It pulsed unevenly, like a heart beating out of rhythm.

The Heart Beneath All Threads.

But around it...

wrapped like a cocoon...

was a second structure.

A jagged lattice of frayed threads, tangled and violently alive.

Erian’s voice cracked.

“That’s not the Heart.”

“No,” the Loomchild whispered.

“That is the Unmaking Core.”

The Core shuddered.

Its threads glowed sickly—ashen gray, void-black, mory-red—twisting in ways that defied logic. So strands connected to the Heart. Others strangled it. Others flickered, phasing in and out of existence like unwanted thoughts.

Marra stepped forward. “So this thing is what’s been corrupting everything?”

“Not corrupting,” Lun murmured, eyes wide.

“Trying to erase.”

The chamber vibrated.

A low groan filled the air—like the world rembering a wound it wished to forget.

Then a voice rippled through the chamber.

Not spoken.

Not heard.

Felt.

“I WAS ANT TO BE FORGOTTEN.”

Tovin stumbled. “It talks!? Why does it talk?!”

Threads shot out from the Core—thin as needles, sharp as regret—embedding themselves into the walls, the floor, the Heart.

The Loomchild gasped.

“It’s waking fully. We don’t have much ti.”

Erian raised his golden thread.

“What are you? What were you supposed to be?”

The Core trembled violently.

Images flashed across the chamber—too fast, too raw:

A world that never ford.

A people who never lived.

A tiline that tried to exist but was broken before birth.

Unmade.

Rejected by the Weave.

Left to rot in the darkness beneath creation.

The Core’s voice shuddered.

“I AM THE THREAD THAT WAS NEVER WOVEN.”

“THE WORLD THAT WAS NOT ALLOWED TO BE.”

“I WANT TO EXIST.”

Lun’s voice fractured.

“It’s not evil. It’s grieving.”

The Core surged—tendrils shooting toward the group.

Marra sliced two apart with raw crimson force.

Tovin twisted another into a harmless loop.

Erian blocked a fourth with radiant gold.

But more ca.

Hundreds.

The Loomchild cried out, “It will consu the Heart if we don’t intervene! The Weave cannot hold both what is and what was never ant to be!”

Lun stepped forward, voice trembling.

“What if we don’t choose? What if we help it find a place?”

The Chamber shook violently—splintering.

Erian stared at the monstrous, forgotten world-thread.

“Then we need to reweave creation itself.”

The Core scread—

a sound of longing, loss, rage—

and erupted with a wave of unmaking force.
