The suffocating narrow street stretched endlessly, lined with crumbling buildings whose windows were dark and vacant, like hollow eyes. Ahead of them was a tide—a mass of zombies so dense and grotesque it looked as though the city itself had vomited its dead. The team of the Zombie Eradication Tactical Unit (ZETU) stood on the edge of the chaos, their weapons trembling in their hands.

Captain Marcus "Iron Will" Kane surveyed the nightmare in front of him. The moaning of hundreds of undead was a deafening wall of sound, and the foul stench of rot threatened to choke them all. He raised his shotgun, his face set like stone. "This isn't just a swarm. This is a death trap."

Officer Derek "Shield" Coleman stood firm, gripping his riot shield like it was the only thing separating him from the abyss. "We can't fight through this, Cap. It's suicide."

Sergeant Jenna "Blaze" Hart stepped up beside him, her flathrower slung across her shoulder. Her voice was calm but laced with grim determination. "We don't have to fight them all. Just enough to make a path."

"Blaze, this isn't about firepower," Kane growled. "It's strategy."

Above them, Officer Riley "Quick Shot" Bennett had taken a sniper's position on a partially intact rooftop. Through her scope, she saw the terrifying truth of the situation. "Captain," she whispered through the comms, "they're not moving randomly. They're funnelling us. Herding us."

Detective Lila "Huntress" Navarro crouched low, her twin pistols at the ready. Her sharp eyes darted to the shadows behind the horde, spotting sothing towering over the throng. "There's sothing leading them. Another one of those mutated freaks, like last ti, but... bigger. Smarter."

Kane clenched his fists. "Brain, what are we dealing with?"

Ethan "Brain" O'Connor's voice ca through the comms, laced with unease. "I'm scanning now, but... whatever this thing is, it's emitting so kind of signal. It's rallying them, drawing them in from all over the city. If we don't stop it here, it's going to unleash an unstoppable wave."

"Then we end it here," Kane barked. "Blaze, prep the incinerator. Huntress, you and Quick Shot take out as many as you can before we move. Shield, you're our wall. Brain, keep us updated on that signal."

The plan was simple, but nothing about the execution would be. As the first wave of undead surged forward, Shield slamd into them, his reinforced riot gear absorbing the impact of clawing hands and gnashing teeth. Behind him, Blaze unleashed a jet of fire, carving a flaming path through the writhing mass.

From above, Quick Shot picked off key targets, her rifle echoing with precision. Huntress moved like a ghost, her dual pistols blazing as she darted through the chaos.

Then it erged—a grotesque behemoth, its misshapen form oozing with decay and pulsating with unnatural energy. Its roar silenced the horde for a mont before it charged forward, its glowing, cavernous eyes locked on the team.

"Target acquired," Kane growled. "Bring it down!"

The fight for survival had begun.
