I woke up feeling the fresh wind of the woods. My body was covered in a blanket that I brought with . Alicia was beside , but she wasn’t sleeping. She was hugging tightly.
"I’m sleeping with such a handso guy~" She said while rubbing her face on my chest.
"Alicia..." I called her na, still half-asleep.
"Oh! Good morning, Rick."
"You are already awake... Did I sleep too much?" I asked her.
"Not really, I was the one who woke up too early. You looked so peacefully asleep that I stayed watching you." She said with a cheerful voice.
"How much ti did you stay watching ?" I asked hesitantly.
"Hmm, I think that the sun didn’t rise at that ti." She responded with the index finger on her chin. "But does it matter?"
’Of course it matters!’ I thought inwardly, but I didn’t say it. My body was frozen, rembering her yandere behavior from last night. ’I hope she doesn’t go crazy because of and start killing wildly.’
I sighed deeply, caressing her head. She was one of the mbers of Leo’s party on SCRL, and her personality in the book was more of a cute and sweet girl, not a love-obsessed yandere. In the book, her character was always well-mannered and kind, very suitable for a Priestess.
’But her wild sexual behavior last night was suitable for a Saintess?’ I asked myself.
"Is there sothing wrong, Rick?" Alicia asked , her green eyes fixed on .
"Not really, but it’s sothing that I’d like to know. You started to call by my nickna more often."
"Ah, so it’s that. I think I got used to it. We got too much closer, and I prefer to call you by it. Don’t you like that?"
"No, you can call as you like."
’Maybe I’m thinking too much. Such a girl wouldn’t do sothing too bad. It’s not like she would change her personality just because she fell in love with , right?’
We dressed ourselves and shared our bread until only crumbs remained, but unlike yesterday the piece of dough wasn’t enough to fill . Now our priority was to find food; if we didn’t, we could find ourselves in big trouble.
Thanks to our sexual endeavor, I added her two skills, Heal and Barrier, to my arsenal. Alicia gained 4 Status Points for the mission, so I organized them that way.
[
Na: Alicia Ludvila Von Astrea
Level: 1
Class: Saintess
Title: Valkyrie
Master: Richard Forster
Health: 40 points
Mana: 40 points
Strength: 1 point
Defense: 2 points
Magic: 6 points
Agility: 3 points
Status Points: 0 points
]
I put almost all the points into Magic, thinking that it didn’t make much sense to put them into other stats for her. She would mostly stay in the backlines as a support, but if she had to deal with an enemy, she didn’t have many options. So I decided to put 1 point into Agility.
’Oh, that’s true! I think I still have my bonus reward to rece– Eh?’ There were so notifications in my mailbox. I had a bad feeling about it.
’Brandish...’ I called Freya’s underling by her na.
[ Yes? ]
’What are these ssages?’
[ They are from Lady Freya. It looks like they piled up from before. Why? ]
’I don’t want to read them. Maybe sothing like last ti?’ I said to Brandish, rembering the last ti she comnted as if she was an xv*deos user.
[ So you can delete the ones that don’t have a reward attached to them. ]
Brandish was using logic, and she was right, but I had a morbid curiosity about her comnts. ’It could be sothing important, like a tip for .’
[ ... ]
Brandish stayed in silence. I could imagine her looking at as if I was saying nonsense. Finally, my curiosity got the best of , my eyes looking at Freya’s comnts, from back in the woods with Sarah until last night with Alicia.
[ I told you that the redhead liked anal. And she is very submissive for a Swordmaster. Hmm, I kind of like that. ]
[ Wow! I’m impressed that you could handle those two together! It was quite an achievent for your third! But this princess is kind of a slut. ]
I almost closed the blue screen in front of , already regretting seeing that, but I still wanted my reward, so I continued.
[ It’s not kind of a slut, she was completely unhinged! And she has such a cute face. I didn’t imagine she would go that far. I want to see her and Sarah fighting.
Well, I suppose she is good for a Saintess of mine, so I’ll give her the Holy Light skill. Make good use of this.
]
I received that last part with a huge surprised look on my face. I checked Alicia’s new power nervously.
[
Holy Light: Creates a luminous flash of light with holy energy that can be used as an attack that might cause stun, or illuminate your surroundings in the dark.
Cost: 20
]
’It’s really useful!’ The ability to stun enemies could be very useful, as it was in my first fight with Sarah and Leo, but my focus was on the "Holy" part. Holy energy is pretty useful against undead and creatures from darkness. It was close to holy water, but we could use it without preparation.
"Rick, are you ok? You looked disgusted, but now you look very happy." Alicia said, looking at as if I was going mad.
"It’s about my Tar power. You gained a new power, Alicia. And a pretty strong one. Holy Light."
"Holy... ?!" She said in a loud voice, more surprised than . As a forr Priestess, she knew the importance of that kind of skill.
"Pretty cool, huh?"
"Can I test it?" She asked .
"We haven’t tested your powers yet. But it’s better to save it for now. Your skills are very Mana-consuming, so it’s better to save them for when we need them most." I explained to her.
"I see..." Alicia said to , her happiness about the news disappearing from her expression.
"Huh... We can still try it out before sleep. Our Mana is restored during rest, so it’s no problem." I said, trying to cheer her up, but she still looked gloomy.
...
We needed to find food, preferably a small animal, but we still needed to find our way to the next town, Ironburgh, to et up with the others, so we packed our things in my bag and walked in the woods.
"Rick, can I ask you sothing?" The blond-haired brunette asked. I was carrying our luggage while she was walking by my side with a thoughtful look on her face. I was getting worried about her, so I stopped walking.
"Sure."
"What should I do?" She asked , in a tense tone.
"Can you be more specific?" I replied to her question, not knowing what she was talking about.
"I don’t want to be a living weight for anyone, but I can’t use my skills. I want to beco stronger, so what should I do? Please tell !" She begged for my advice.
Those feelings, telling her she was useless, were still floating inside her head. So I gave her a flick on her forehead to see if they would escape from her ear, but they didn’t.
"Ouch!" She let out a painful sound. I caressed that thick forehead of hers, to make that little pain I caused go away.
"It’s not your task to beco stronger, Alicia." I said to her.
She angrily puffed her cheeks, looking at with a grim expression. "It’s not your task to be stronger either. You are our Master, so we should fight in your place."
"That’s sothing that I have to decide. I’m your Master, so I have this kind of perk." I said in a playful voice. "But your case is different. Did you ever fight anyone?"
She would respond to , but stayed silent, lowering her eyes. She was in a world different from royalty. It was more dangerous than anything from the safe walls of her castle. Her closest experience to that was being attacked by the bandits back then, and it didn’t go well.
"You’re not a fighter like Sarah or an Assassin like Diane. You’re a support. You can heal and protect; that’s the way you’re going to fight."
She raised her head, looking into my eyes, listening to every word I was saying.
"I say that, but your task is really important. A party can have strong mbers, but without soone to sustain damage or heal the allies, soone can die. So your job is to keep Sarah, Alicia, and of course still standing."
"I see..." Alicia said, her erald eyes starting to shine again. "So I’ll beco the best healer in Ashia!"
I smiled back at her. "So I’ll be counting on you, Alici–"
My body stopped where I was standing.
"Rick, sothing wro–"
"Shhh!" I cut Alicia off and put her behind a tree. Thankfully, the creature next to us didn’t notice us.
"Rick," The Saintess whispered close to . "What are you looking at?"
"I found our next al!" I said in excitent.
