At this ti, a handso, rugged man walked over to Wei Chen. His expression was complicated. He seed to welco Wei Chen with a smile, yet his eyes avoided Wei Chen’s gaze, as if he had done sothing wrong and was in a rather awkward position.
Wei Chen was confused. Who was this guy?
Seeing this, Mo Xingyao stepped back and cleared her throat.
"Ahem... let introduce you." She turned toward the handso, rugged man. "This is my father, the Sky-Severing Demon, Mo Jue."
Realizing the man was Mo Xingyao’s father, Wei Chen maintained a respectful stance. He cupped his fist and bowed toward him.
"Wei Chen, a vagabond, greets Senior Sky-Severing Demon, Mo Jue."
"Hahaha!" Mo Jue laughed. "Why so formal? Why so distant? We’ll be family in the near future. Why don’t you call father-in-law already?"
"Huh?" Wei Chen was stunned. He then looked at Mo Xingyao as if wanting to ask sothing, but Mo Xingyao’s face was flushed red and she looked awkward.
"Err..." Wei Chen stuttered. He did not know what to do. Why had the lie that this money-grubber girl fabricated suddenly beco real? Should he tell the truth, or should he go with the flow?

Then he took the hands of both won and dragged them to a spot with a bit more privacy. He turned to Mo Xingyao and asked,
"What happened? Weren’t you saying it was just a facade? Why did it suddenly change?" Wei Chen asked, wanting an answer.
"Huh? A facade?" Dream Butterfly chid in. She then looked at Mo Xingyao. "Sister Mo, what does that an? A facade? Does this an the thing between you and Lord Wei was..."
Dream Butterfly wanted to continue, but Mo Xingyao quickly covered her mouth.
"Shhhh! Not so loud!" Mo Xingyao gestured for Dream Butterfly to be quiet, and the latter nodded before releasing her hand.
Wei Chen looked at Dream Butterfly and then at Mo Xingyao in confusion. He knew that Dream Butterfly liked him, love at first sight. She was very open about it, open to the point that he felt a bit embarrassed. This was the first ti in his two lives that he had received such a direct confession like this.
But Mo Xingyao was different. Wasn’t the whole thing just business? He was only supposed to help her avoid an engagent. Why had it suddenly beco real? Even Mo Jue, her father, had approved of it.

"So... what about you and ng Yu?" he asked, looking at Dream Butterfly, who was standing beside Mo Xingyao.
"ng Yu?" Mo Xingyao repeated in confusion.
"It’s Dream Butterfly’s real na," Wei Chen clarified.
"Oh, I see..." She nodded, then looked at Dream Butterfly, who seed eager for Mo Xingyao to explain. Umm... how should she put it...
Before she could explain, a disturbance ca from another part of the ruin.
Booooom!
"Arrrgghhh!" "Urrgg!" "Aaaaaaarrh!" "The prisoner escaped! The prisoner escaped!"
The explosion from another part of the ruin, along with the entire structure shaking and the screams of the people outside, cut off Mo Xingyao’s explanation.
