"Broken Bridge!"

Duncan shouted, his hands slamming heavily onto the bridge surface. Hegel let out a war cry and stomped forcefully, the terrifying barbaric power shattering the stones beneath. With their cooperation, cracks appeared on the stone bridge, and eventually, it collapsed entirely.

Thousands of pursuers were blocked on the opposite side of the river.

At this mont, Protheus on the other side was already sowhat furious. He drew his bow and fired several arrows continuously while ordering soldiers to cross the river and dispatching cavalry to bypass from upstream.

But as long as Duncan and his group were given a chance to catch their breath, it wouldn’t be so easy to chase them down again.

Duncan had a god’s perspective, leading a group of Barbarians in a desperate escape.

Fighting and retreating along the way, they astonishingly killed nearly a thousand enemies. Not only the soldiers of the Golden Battle Group wore expressions of fear, but even the imnsely arrogant Protheus’s expression grew increasingly shocked.

He was used to living in luxury; he had never seen such fierce Barbarians.

The idea of personally entering the battlefield was already receding; he only planned to exhaust everyone with his soldiers.

A sudden spray of blood.

Duncan pulled the arrow from his side, turned to look at Hegel, and the other heavily injured Barbarians. Their stamina was nearly depleted; it was becoming difficult to even run.

Not a single one dead.

Truly a miracle.

But whether they could continue to live depended sowhat on fate!

"There’s a cliff ahead."

Duncan took out a sapphire bottle and handed it to Blu and the others behind him, speaking in a deep voice, "This is an Underwater Breathing Potion. Each of you take a sip; it should last for a short while."

"Whether you live or not is up to fate."

He and Hegel didn’t need it; even if they jumped into the sea, they wouldn’t drown. With their robust bodies, it was already fortunate if they didn’t start hacking at sea monsters and sea demons in the ocean.

But the other Barbarians might not survive.

Waves surged beneath the cliff; severely injured Duncan and Hegel couldn’t protect the others. While they still had strength, jumping into the sea might give the others a chance of survival.

"What about you?" Usga held the potion, suddenly looking up to ask.

Even the dullest of Barbarians understood they were actually burdening Duncan and Hegel. Otherwise, if they wanted to escape, the enemy truly might not be able to stop them.

Never had they longed for strength so dearly!

Duncan glanced back at Hegel; the two understood each other without needing words. A look of furious determination was in both of their eyes as Duncan spoke deeply, "We stay behind to cover your retreat!"

"Go quickly!"

"If you survive, go to the Dibite River. The Oceanid there will take you in."

"We will avenge this sooner or later!"

Beside him, the Berserker Blu seed to want to stay, but Duncan’s single look stopped him. In the end, the other Barbarians, unwillingly, drank the potion and leaped into the sea.

At the cliff’s edge.

Now only Duncan and Hegel were left, panting and scarred.

"Catch this!"

Duncan took out a bottle and tossed it over.

Hegel thought it was a potion and was about to shake his head, toss it back to Duncan, letting him drink it. But the next second, his nose twitched, and his face lit up in delight, "Wine?"

Yes, wine.

How could there be no wine at this mont?

Heroes and wine are the romance of the Barbarians.

To the Barbarians, wine is the best potion.

Duncan held a bottle, gulped it down, turned to Hegel beside him, his eyes blood-red, speaking deeply, "Don’t die too soon."

Hegel raised his head, drank heartily, and shouted exuberantly, "I’m not that easy to kill."

"Regardless of success, I’ll stay to cover the retreat."

His tone brooked no argunt.

Hegel, being a Divine Son, had a higher chance of survival in dire situations than Duncan. Moreover, even if captured by Protheus, they might not kill Hegel.

Duncan didn’t argue further, only nodding slowly, placing three heavy spears on his knee. The two sat by the cliff’s edge, drinking heartily, feeling the sea breeze, listening to the crashing waves, watching the distant enemy slowly surround them.

If taught well, Hegel could also beco a mythological hero like Hercules.

He possessed the essence of an excellent warrior.

This battle had been too stifling.

Both Duncan and Hegel needed to show the enemy what they were made of.

Under the encirclent of thousands of enemies.

The two Barbarians emptied their bottles and slowly stood up.

The wind howled fiercely!

In the distance, the sea waves crashing against the rocks roared, as if echoing their long-suppressed rage.

At the horizon.

Protheus appeared, his expression uncertain and suspicious. He stood on the lavish Golden War Chariot, staring at the two Barbarians on the cliff, unsure why they weren’t fleeing.

Roar!

As the distance gradually closed, Hegel’s angry roar erupted as he entered Frenzy State, his scarlet eyes filled with bloodlust, brutality, and killing intent.

This was the real him, a warlike and brutal Barbarian warrior.

The surrounding crowd looked horrified to the extre.

Hegel’s towering figure was like a tiger descending from the mountain. Without the need to shield other Barbarians, he seed like an ancient beast ready to devour anyone in his path. He tore open a bloody path through the Golden Battle Group, followed imdiately by Duncan accelerating behind him, resembling an unleashed ancient fierce beast.

The two smashed through thousands, inching closer to Protheus upon the Golden War Chariot.

At this mont, a hint of terrified fear appeared on the face of the arrogant son of the Golden King!

Bang!

A spear, like lightning, pierced the air.

As Hegel tore the bloody path ahead, Duncan leaped, casting the heavy spear in his hand. In the eyes of countless horrified onlookers, Protheus, clad in golden armor, awkwardly evaded, but a painful, muffled groan sounded. Blood splattered, his left shoulder had been struck by the spear.
