Even if surrounded on all sides, among many Barbarians, only he and Hegel could survive.
"Break through!"
Duncan’s lips moved slightly; in this situation, they couldn’t fight to the death. As long as they could break through successfully, with his and Hegel’s rising influence, they could rally a Barbarian Battle Group to fight back once they returned to the Northern Land.
If he wished, once he beca strong enough, he could directly destroy the city-states of the Golden Coast.
In Duncan’s view, this was actually a clash within the human camp, between the Nordic and Egyptian civilizations. Although they belonged to the sa Pantheon, the hidden conflict between different civilization camps and their Divine Spirits was frequent; no one was willing to be subjugated.
Who wouldn’t consider themselves a chosen one of the heavens?
The Barbarian Race frequently suffered losses due to their tendency to wander; if this were to happen in the harsh Northern Land, they would directly string up the enemy and beat them.
"Follow !"
Before the Golden Battle Group could make a move, Duncan raised the Dwarf heavy shield and charged towards the weak point on the right. Hegel ran even faster than him, launching a powerful charge. As he raised his shield, a collision sent the battle formation of the Golden Battle Group tumbling, even flinging people more than ten ters away.
"Breaking Army! Xianzhen!"
Duncan took out the Giant Power Potion and drank it down. Others did the sa, letting out roars that echoed across the land. All other Barbarians entered a Frenzy State, and Hegel roared like thunder, causing a trickle of blood to seep from the ears of nearby enemies.
"Thunder Warrior?!"
"Hegel actually broke through on the battlefield!"
This thunderous roar startled the distant warhorses, and even Protheus’s expression changed drastically. Though he appeared to hold supre power, how could his true strength compare to Hegel, who road the world and fought on countless battlefields?
Hegel led the breakthrough of the enemy’s formation, while Duncan danced like a wind of death. Where his grandfather’s icy gleam traversed, dismbered limbs and severed heads filled the sky.
Berserker Blu expanded the results behind Duncan, using the Great Montum Slash as a tool of harvest, killing more than a dozen in an instant.
Other Barbarians closely followed, not one retreating, even feeling a bit elated, for such a battle could already be considered ’glorious.’ Even if they died here today, they would be immortalized by minstrels.
Their glory was a concept.
They would not yield to royal authority, would not bow to formidable foes, nor would they covet wealth or beauty—a band of truly free Barbarian warriors.
Pure, maybe even a bit foolish.
They broke a thousand with seven!
Duncan and Hegel forcefully tore open the enemy’s encirclent. They seed like Legendary Heroes from myths, breaking formations alone, slaying countless enemies, forcibly piercing through the Golden Battle Group’s defenses. Then Hegel turned back after breaking through, covering for the retreat of other Barbarians.
Behind them lay hundreds of corpses!
By this ti, both Duncan and Hegel were already wounded, Hegel charging at the forefront with more than a dozen arrows and three javelins embedded in him. Thankfully, the Dwarf battle armor was robust; he broke them off easily, amounting only to superficial wounds.
The enemy still surged forward like a tide.
They weren’t ordinary soldiers; they were elite units of one or two stars, and despite so many being slain, they remained fearless. For if they retreated on the battlefield, a cruel punishnt awaited them.
"I’ll cover the retreat. Withdraw to the west."
Duncan reached out to stop Hegel, shook his head slowly, took a deep breath, and activated ’Great Frenzy’ mode.
The Barbarian Race had a weakness—they would enter fatigue after a Frenzy.
However, his physique was formidable, allowing continuous frenzy.
Hegel wasn’t ready yet.
Duncan glanced at Protheus in the distance; Hegel imdiately understood, nodding with gritted teeth, raising his shield to cover.
A group of them fought while retreating, even as cavalry and chariots intercepted along the way, all crushed by Hegel.
The ground was strewn with blood and dismbered limbs along the path.
So Barbarians were already seriously injured, but as long as the Frenzy State persisted, they could still fight. Once its effects wore off, their combat strength would plumt.
They survived up to now, relying on Duncan’s prior preparation of Dwarf heavy shields.
In the Dinsion Space, under a God’s view.
A vast river appeared ahead. Duncan lost count of how many he killed, at least two or three hundred, because a ’Slaughter’ fla Mark had already ford on his Path of Legends marker, with a small section of the progress bar complete.
——"Death (Legendary Concept): Forge a Death Domain with a mountain of bones, slaying at least a thousand true professionals or Transcendents."
("In the na of death and slaughter, let your story be told in the world.")
Perhaps because he didn’t lead an army, what Duncan ford this ti wasn’t a concept of war.
"Cross the river!"
Hegel covered the crossing of many wounded Barbarians, then turned back to support Duncan. Protheus, seeing everyone crossing the river, finally showed a slight change in expression. He grabbed a golden war bow, mounted his chariot, and rapidly approached, drawing the bow to aim at the two in the distance.
For a mont, he didn’t know which one to shoot first, as both were extrely threatening!
The arrow pierced through the air.
Ultimately, Hegel was the more conspicuous of the two. His burly figure trembled slightly, a muffled groan escaping as an arrow struck his back.
Hegel snapped the arrow shaft, swung his warhamr, and sent an oncoming cavalryman flying.
