"Your Majesty!"
As a faint glow erged, the wizards in black robes present solemnly knelt on one knee.
In the basent of this secretive manor, the surrounding walls were engraved with dense runes, both Celtic and Rune Runes. In the center of the enormous array, drawing incessantly from the earth’s energies, the figure of a martial and upright young man slowly appeared.
"Rise."
Duncan glanced around, gazing at the patterns on the rune stone, and slowly said, "Is this the Command Seal that controls Heroic Spirits?"
A witch beside him respectfully said, "Yes, Your Majesty."
"It originated from the Rune Runes, rged with the Church’s stigmata, and was completed during the Arican Revolutionary War."
Interesting.
Duncan slowly reached out his hand to press onto the rune stone in front of him, and in the next second, the Rune Runes on it seed to co alive. The small runes, like tadpoles, wriggled along with the flow of magic power onto his arm, eventually forming three stable Command Seal symbols.
This scene left the nearby wizards dumbfounded!
Yet thinking about whom they had exhausted so much effort to summon, it was not surprising at all.
Among the male and female wizards present, at least more than half were fans of this Majesty.
It is well-known within the mysterious world that the current magic system’s frawork was mostly completed by this person, though he was not a very powerful wizard himself, preferring to wield a blade instead. However, it was widely acknowledged that this Majesty’s magic power was strong enough to command a giant dragon.
This was, in fact, the ’Magic Enlightennt’ of the empire’s reform. Since the Elental Tide had not started, it only spread in the mysterious world, making Duncan one of the pioneers of modern magic.
Previously, Duncan would navigate with a harem of beauties while his casting ability developed in a rather passive, automated way.
"What’s the situation in Paris now?"
Having casually extracted three Command Seals, and disguised as a Master, Duncan sauntered outside, lazily sitting in the main hall’s chair, glancing at the hidden Crow Queen Shrine in front of him. The precautions he left behind many years ago had largely disappeared over ti, but those that survived beca a formidable force within the mysterious world.
The Eye of the Wizard is a branch of the European Secret Arts Society, its origins trace back to the era of the witchcraft association of the empire. These were so of the earliest human scholars Duncan assigned to study Celtic and Rune Runes, as well as primal magic.
"Your Majesty."
A witch carefully poured so black tea for Duncan, her sapphire-like eyes resting on him, with a hint of admiration and reverence, as though she beheld a legendary idol, she softly said, "The remnants of the Jacobins used a death ritual to transform Robespierre into a special Heroic Spirit."
"His possession of the [Judgnt of the Guillotine] can severely damage all Heroic Spirits possessing the Royal Authority Law."
"Please be extra cautious."

Is the inertia of history this strong?
Even though Duncan altered the course of history, as he retired to Avalon and ceased intervening, the original historical inertia seed to be correcting everything. Although there was no Charlemagne Empire, nor Holy Roman Empire, many subtle coincidences arose after the Second Empire’s collapse.
For instance, the great war between England and France, after the collapse of the Second Roman Empire, saw a brief period of joint rule between Britain and France, historically referred to as the ’Anglo-French Empire.’
"The Guillotine, huh?"
Duncan, with a playful expression propped his chin, noting that the French Revolution’s outbreak already resembled six or seven tenths of history as he rembered it.
In truth, after the Arican Revolutionary War, signs of history being corrected beca more apparent, although it is not known whether this was due to the suppressive force of the world.
The imperial legacy he left at that ti, in overseas colonies, South and North Arica were inherited by Great Britain, while the African continent was inherited by France.
The two longti rivals battled for centuries, nearly reenacting the Hundred Years’ War between England and France.
As for the German branch, in historical evolution, it developed towards Cyprus, and even after the great division, so rose to beco Dukes of the Grand Duchy of Moscow, evolving into the Tsardom of Russia. The Russian Empire officially claid itself as the ’Third Roman Empire.’
After pondering for a mont, Duncan gestured for the witch in front of him to continue.
This witch nad Theresa softly said, "The Royalist Party’s movents are unclear."
"However, they have support from foreign forces, and in a recent secret skirmish, it seems soone summoned the Heroic Spirit of Catherine the Great."
Strictly speaking, the Heroic Spirit she referred to corresponds to Catherine the Great.
Yet due to a different historical trajectory, Catherine actually beca active long before Napoleon, probably after the fall of the Second Roman Empire, evolving into the predecessor of Tsardom of Russia, a branch from Cyprus, the Grand Duchy of Moscow.
"This can no longer be described as a coincidence."
"There absolutely exists so kind of world suppressive force, that even in the absence of a Mongol Empire invasion, managed to directly evolve into the Tsardom of Russia."
The length of ti Duncan changed the tiline spans roughly five hundred years. Beyond that, the historical trajectories skipped the dieval tiline, increasingly resembling mories from his previous life. Like anchors in the tiline, various causes contracted to create a historical narrative akin to a parallel world.
