"Hello?"
On the phone was the domineering voice of Kris Cooper, "Where are you?"
"I just got back from dinner." Waving goodbye to Nathan Leafcastle, she strode towards the entrance of her complex. "How are things? Still all good?"
"Yep. How are you feeling?"
"Full HP, full mana, respawned in place! Hehe." Vera Wave entered the residential complex gate. "Oh, by the way, honey, could you do a little favor?!"
Kris Cooper has a lot of connections in Imperial City. If he gets involved, he can definitely handle the issue with the old house. Compared to the suddenly-appearing Nathan Leafcastle, I’m much more willing to ask Kris Cooper.
"What do you need?"
"Well... It’s a bit complicated. I can’t really explain it in a few sentences. I’ll tell you when you get back!"
"Alright."
"Thank you!"

"Of course, I miss you! If you hadn’t called, I was planning to call you as soon as I got ho!"
"Alright, pick up at the airport at three the day after tomorrow. Terminal one."
"Oh."
Reluctantly, Vera Wave agreed. He has a driver and an assistant; why does he insist on making run this errand?
"Oh?"
On the phone, Kris Cooper mimicked her tone.
"I an, alright. The whole of Imperial City and I welco your return."
"Good. Get so rest early. I’ll have the driver pick you up."
"Okay, see you the day after tomorrow!"
After hanging up, Vera Wave imdiately pouted. I thought he’d be gone for at least a week; I didn’t expect him to return so soon. But that will work out. The sooner he returns, the sooner he can help with the old house.
Thinking this, she quickly sent a fawning text ssage to Kris Cooper.
"Honey, see you the day after tomorrow. I’ll be waiting for you at the airport! Goodnight, muah muah!"
Feeling slightly embarrassed by her own mushy text, she pulled out her keys, opened his door, and nonchalantly turned on the air conditioner. Then she gathered the fruit from the table and headed to the kitchen.
His room gets plenty of sunlight, and I’m not responsible for the electricity bill. I’m perfectly happy to sleep in his room; besides, he isn’t around!
「Thousands of miles away. Singapore, a study room in a hotel.」
BUZZ!
A phone on the table vibrated. Kris Cooper stretched out his hand, picked up the phone, and saw the bootlicking text ssage the young girl had sent. He couldn’t help but smile.
That blasted girl. She’s always so proactive when she needs .
After a mont, his smile faded, and his brow furrowed in concern. I wonder what kind of trouble that girl has gotten into this ti.
Worried, he looked up at Tommy Taylor, who was bringing him coffee. "Reschedule the flight. I’ll leave once I’ve signed the contracts tomorrow."
There was a very important contract to sign tomorrow morning; it was a crucial agreent that required his personal attendance.
From her voice on the phone, she sounded like she was in good spirits, but I wonder how her nstrual cramps are. Her place is really cold. Leaving her alone in Imperial City... I can’t feel at ease at all.
"Alright, I’ll arrange it." Tommy Taylor set down the coffee and walked out. He returned a mont later. "I just called the airline. The earliest is 11 a.m. tomorrow. However... only economy class seats are available."
"Economy class it is!" Kris Cooper casually waved his hand. "As long as I can get back to Nicosa, it’s fine."
Hearing this, Tommy Taylor could only shake his head. Just to return a day early, this fellow is willing to squeeze into an economy class seat. n in love are truly mad!
