"It was so thrilling! I never thought that in my first PK eting, I would see our new president!" rlin Bradley hugged her arms, her eyes sparkling, "Did you see that, Vera? The way he played gas was so cool!"
"But... he didn’t vote for Vera." Ruben Campbell reminded quietly.
"Well..." rlin Bradley’s expression froze, "The president has to vote too? I an, Vera’s proposal was so good, how co he didn’t vote?"
Wang Xiaoya lightly tugged her sleeve and nodded towards Vera Wave.
Only then did rlin Bradley notice Vera’s expression. From leaving the conference room to returning to the advertising departnt, she hadn’t said a word, and there wasn’t a trace of victory joy on her face. Instead, she wore a frown full of worry.
"Vera, what’s... what’s wrong?" rlin Bradley lightly tapped her shoulder, "Why... the worried look?"
"Ah... nothing, I’m just thinking that I might need to revise this plan tonight."
Vera Wave forced a smile at her, then continued rifling through the files on her desk.
Strange!
She clearly signed that couple’s contract and left it on the desk, how could it be missing?
"What are you looking for?" rlin Bradley asked, "Did you leave it in the conference room... should I... go up and check?"
"Ah... no need." Vera Wave quickly stopped her, "It’s just a pen, if lost... then it’s lost."
The guy seed like he didn’t want to bother with her anymore, so whether the contract was there or not, it no longer mattered.
"Never mind then." rlin Bradley straightened up, noticing Kylo Sail entering, intentionally raised her voice, "To celebrate our team’s victory, I’ve decided... lunch is on today, so tell , what do you all want to eat?"
"at!"
Foodie Wang Xiaoya was the first to respond.
"No problem, plenty to go around!" rlin Bradley lifted her chin, "Let’s go, Dream Team... off for lunch and to discuss this proposal so more."
Kylo Sail knew they were intentionally speaking for her to hear, feeling incredibly frustrated and helpless, she just quickened her steps into her office and slamd the door shut.
She could leave, but others couldn’t.
Wang Xiaoya stood up, "I want two plates of at for lunch, and another pound to take away, so people won’t mistake the front for the back on the street!"
"Well said!" Ruben Campbell stood too, "I’ll make a call, have my mom take a cab to bring my son over for lunch; no car or house but with a son is fine too!"
This victory gave the three who were usually looked down upon in the departnt so confidence and the courage to finally hit back at those who mocked them.
Those who followed Kylo Sail could only listen to the sneers and return to their seats with regret.
