Vera’s curiosity was piqued, and she cautiously leaned forward to see where the sound was coming from.
Not far away, under the cherry blossom tree, a man sat cross-legged with his side facing her, holding an acoustic guitar in his arms.
He wasn’t wearing a jacket; he only had on a white shirt, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
When Vera looked over, the man was glancing at his right hand, and Vera could only see the back of his head.
Then, he turned his face back, raised his chin slightly, and sang the next lyrics.
"In every inexplicable day, I miss you, miss you, really miss you..."
The light from the right side slanted across, painting his profile and entire silhouette with a golden edge.
That profile was incredibly familiar; Vera recognized it at once—it was Kris Cooper.

The man was engrossed in playing the guitar and didn’t notice Vera hidden behind the greenery.
After receiving the call from the music store that the guitar was fixed, he imdiately rushed to get it back.
Not wanting Vera to see the guitar too soon, he specifically took it to the old house, intending to leave it and go. Then he decided to try it in the backyard first.
Since Vera’s disappearance, he hadn’t played the guitar, and after so long, Kris Cooper wasn’t sure if he could still play as well as before.

Suddenly, countless voices erupted in her head, as if her mind was a fast-forwarding film, chaotic and complex.
Countless voices, countless images, countless scenes...
Her head felt like it was about to explode in pain, and Vera clutched her head, stopping painfully.
"Ah..."
Hearing her voice, the focused Kris Cooper turned around in confusion.
Seeing Vera grabbing her head and collapsing to the ground, his eyes widened instantly, gripping the trembling guitar strings before tossing the guitar onto the grass, quickly got up and rushed over to lift her from the grass.
