"I’m all right... no need to bother going to the hospital! Lucy, let’s go to the banquet."
Nearby, Assistant Anabel Wilton, along with bodyguards and staff, quickly ran over to support her. They headed towards the exit, following the convoy back to the banquet hall. When she saw Kris Cooper on the phone going upstairs, she imdiately followed him.
"Hubby, sorry, I was busy earlier and couldn’t call."
"How are things now?"
"We’ve finished shooting. There are two night scenes tonight, and we can head back first thing tomorrow."
"How’s work?"
"Everything else is fine, but I had several NGs this morning for one scene. It’s a slapping scene, and I just couldn’t get it right."
"Aren’t you usually very good at slapping people?" Kris Cooper asked with a laugh.

"What happened next?"

"Yeah, is she the female lead?" Speaking of which, Vera Wave suddenly paused. "Hold on, she said she was going to Ashton’s event. Are you two together?"

Leaning back lazily on the couch in the lounge, Kris Cooper replied, "Yes, she’s also attending our company’s event."

"Soone’s coming into the restroom. I have to go now. See you tomorrow."
On the other end of the line, Vera Wave hastily hung up.
He raised his phone, watching the na ’Vera’ slowly dim on the screen. Kris Cooper then clasped the phone and stood up from the couch.
There were still many guests downstairs. As the host, he needed to go down and socialize.
Just as he stood up, the lounge door was pushed open. Irene Spencer walked in with a smile.
"Kris, you’re here too. What a coincidence!"
"It’s all yours now."
Kris Cooper bypassed her, about to walk out of the lounge.
Seeing he was about to leave, Irene Spencer quickly reached out and grabbed his arm.
"Kris, there’s sothing I need to talk to you about."
Turning his head, Kris Cooper glanced at the hand grasping his arm and frowned.
"You should know my habits."
"Sorry!"
Irene Spencer quickly let go of his arm.
Anyone familiar with Kris Cooper knew he disliked being touched by other won, and Irene Spencer, of course, was included in "other won."
"What is it?" Kris Cooper asked.
"It’s nothing major, really. It’s just... sothing happened today during the filming of ’Fla’."
Since "Fla" was a project Ashton had invested in, Kris Cooper naturally had to show so concern.
Turning his gaze, he looked intently at Irene Spencer.
Irene Spencer pointed to her face. "My face got swollen from a hit during filming. I’m worried it will affect the promotional photoshoot tomorrow. Could we... reschedule it for another day?"
