On the screen, journalists were already standing up and asking questions.
"May I ask, why was Miss Spencer there so late last night?"
"Miss Spencer just went for a night run. She has always had a habit of running at night," Anabel Wilton replied, clearly prepared.
"Then, may I ask why Miss Irene verbally abused the journalists?"
"Miss Irene was weak and flustered at the ti. People in such a situation can react sowhat drastically, especially since you had infringed upon a normal person’s privacy."
A journalist whom Irene Spencer had scolded the day before stood up. "Then I’d like to ask, Miss Anabel Wilton," he questioned loudly, "I was at the incident scene yesterday. Why didn’t I see any so-called righteous act?"
Anabel Wilton stared coldly at him. "Sir, please watch your words. If anyone attempts to defa Miss Irene, we won’t hesitate to resort to legal asures."
"Then, could the female student who was saved co out and give everyone an explanation?" another journalist asked.
"She is a minor. To protect her, we do not intend for her to make a public appearance. We ask for your understanding." Anabel Wilton then stood up and announced, "Today’s press conference ends here. Thank you!"
After saying this, she turned and walked down from the podium. The journalists imdiately got up to follow her.
"May I ask, why didn’t Miss Irene call the police?"
"Who are those people that beat her up?!"

Anabel Wilton ignored them and, protected by staff, quickly left the scene. The video ended there.
"What a whitewash!" rlin Bradley comnted disdainfully. "Night running? Who goes night running in high heels? She provoked soone and got beaten up, yet she still portrays herself as so gallant hero. So shaless."
"Exactly!" another colleague chid in. "I used to think she was a good person. Turns out it’s all an act; she’s always performing, both on and off screen!"
Knowing that Irene Spencer didn’t plan to report to the police, Wang Xiaoya patted her chest and sighed deeply, "That scared to death!"
Wang Xiaoya had barely finished speaking when they heard a cold snort from nearby.
Everyone looked up in the direction of the sound.
"HUMPH!" Kylo Sail stood in the hallway between the partition rooms, arms crossed and a stern expression on her face. "Chatting about celebrity gossip during work hours? If you’re all so idle, why don’t you quit and go ho to chase stars!"
After her sarcastic remarks, scornful expressions crossed their faces as they each retreated to their respective partition rooms.
Vera Wave straightened up, crossed her arms, and leaned against the wall of her partition room.
"At least we’re *at* the company. So people, however, are so carefree they arrive this late. Why not just quit and sleep in at ho?"
She was already in a foul mood because of the major incident. Now that this person had co looking for trouble, Vera Wave naturally wouldn’t take it lying down.
PFFT!
A ripple of laughter went through the office.
Kylo Sail’s face turned livid. "I was late because I..."
"AH!" Vera Wave let out a small yawn, cutting off Kylo Sail’s explanation. Lazily, she said, "So sleepy. It’s a sha there’s still so much work. Otherwise, I’d really love to sleep in."
With that, she turned and walked into her office.
Kylo Sail stood there awkwardly, her face flushed. She gritted her teeth, snorted again, and stomped off into her own office in her high heels.
