"Vera?" Isla’s tone was surprised, "What about her?"
"You really don’t know?"
"Not..." Isla was montarily stunned, "Who are you?"
"Kris Cooper!"
"Cha... Chairman?!" Isla’s voice also took on a nervous tone, "What happened to Vera?"
"Where is she?!"
"I... I really don’t know. The last ti I saw her was when she was with you, and we haven’t t since. What’s happened?"
Kris Cooper took a deep breath, suppressing the anger boiling in his chest.
"Do you still know if she has any other friends, or places she frequently visits, other residences... In short, anywhere she might go!"
"What... what exactly happened to her?"
"Get a car from the company, and go to any place she might be right away. Call imdiately if you find any clues. Go now!"

Hearing the urgency in his voice, Isla hastily agreed.
Hanging up the phone, Kris Cooper took a deep breath and continued driving forward.
Noticing a girl on the street with a similar build to Vera, he glanced in the rear-view mirror, swerving the car from the fast lane to the roadside, jumped out of the car and ran over, grabbing the girl’s arm.
The girl turned her head in shock, seeing the stranger’s face, Kris Cooper released her, turned, and rushed back into the car.
"Vera, you damned girl... where the hell are you?!"
The sky began to drizzle.
Raindrops fell, pattering on the car windows, initially forming a thin layer, gradually gathering into streams, flowing down the glass like a lover’s tears.
