Liliana Davis set aside her work, reached out to take the docunts, then carefully went through them twice from beginning to end before nodding in satisfaction.
"Very well." She stood up and placed the docunts into an envelope, "Go prepare so ingredients, arrange for Sally to have dinner at ho tonight."
"Okay."
The assistant agreed and turned to head downstairs.
Liliana Davis set the docunts aside, opened a drawer, and took out a small bottle.
She turned the bottle in her hand and sighed softly.
"Little Nathan, mom is doing this for your own good, in the future... you’ll understand."
Placing the bottle back in the drawer, Liliana Davis picked up her phone, first calling Sally Dalton to invite her for dinner at ho tonight, then dialing Nathan Leafcastle’s number.
"Mom is cooking tonight, rember to co back early for dinner!"
"Okay."
Nathan Leafcastle agreed with a smile.
A mont later, after the assistant bought the ingredients, she went downstairs, donned an apron, and began preparing dinner.
By the ti the ingredients were almost ready, Sally Dalton had arrived at the Leafcastle residence, bringing so fruits and a bottle of red wine.
"’87, hmm, I love the taste of Bordeaux from this year." Liliana Davis warmly invited her in and praised the wine, "Sally, sit down. I’ll go stir-fry the dishes, Nathan should be ho soon."
"Auntie, let help you!" Sally Dalton smiled, getting up.
Having known the Leafcastle family for years, Sally Dalton was not only close to Nathan Leafcastle but also had a relationship with Liliana Davis that felt like mother and daughter.
"No need!" Liliana Davis pushed her back onto the sofa, "Have so fruit, watch so TV. Linda will help , and when Nathan cos back, he can accompany you."
She turned and headed to the kitchen to get busy, and Sally Dalton sat on the sofa for a while, feeling bored, so she went upstairs to the Study Room and picked up a book from the shelf to read.
At dusk, Nathan Leafcastle indeed drove back to the community.
By then, Liliana Davis had prepared a few main dishes and set the cold dishes on the table. Coming out to greet Nathan, she imdiately smiled and invited him inside.
"The soup is almost ready, go upstairs and ask Sally to co down for dinner!"
"Alright."
Nathan Leafcastle went upstairs to invite Sally Dalton down for dinner, and Liliana Davis returned to the kitchen, turned off the heat, took a small bottle from her pocket, extracted a pill, and crushed it.
