He extended his hand with a smile, and Winson Sumrton grasped it.

"No, you’re mistaken this ti!" Kris Cooper shook his head, his tone gentle yet undeniably firm. "I refuse!"

Dr. Sumrton, being a psychologist, could clearly see the unyielding determination in Kris Cooper’s expression; he knew Kris Cooper wasn’t rely bluffing. If Dr. Sumrton continued to insist, Kris Cooper wouldn’t hesitate to beco confrontational.
"You’re too damn tyrannical!" Nathan Leafcastle snapped from behind Dr. Sumrton.
Kris Cooper rely flicked his gaze towards him, disdainfully uttering three words, "None of your business?!"
Leafcastle loosened his tie and unbuttoned his suit jacket. He yanked it off, tossed it to the ground, and strode towards Kris Cooper, imdiately throwing a punch. Since reasoning was clearly futile, he could only resort to this thod. His fist flew, unceremoniously, straight towards Kris Cooper’s face.
Kris Cooper had been seething with suppressed anger towards Leafcastle, and Leafcastle felt the sa. Although Nathan knew it wasn’t fair to bla others for matters of the heart, he couldn’t help but feel intensely jealous of Kris Cooper. Furthermore, he had discovered that Walter Wave’s situation was connected to Kris, and now Kris was high-handedly preventing them from helping Vera. All these factors combined, and Leafcastle, now burning with uncontrollable rage, had lost all reason.
The elevator doors parted. Vera witnessed the scene and imdiately scread.

Seeing Leafcastle’s fist hurtling towards Kris Cooper’s face, she shrieked, her own face turning deathly pale with fear.

Just as Leafcastle’s punch was about to land, Kris Cooper raised an arm, deflecting the blow. He then countered with a swift uppercut, unceremoniously slamming it into Leafcastle’s stomach.
Vera’s shout distracted Leafcastle for a crucial mont. And while he exercised regularly, he had never undergone the kind of brutal, genuine combat training that monsters like Kris Cooper and his ilk had. This disparity in skill naturally made him no match for Kris.
The force of the blow sent Leafcastle staggering back several steps, clutching his stomach as a spasm of intense pain shot through him.
"Kris!" Vera rushed over, anxiously gripping Kris Cooper’s arm. "Are you okay?"
"Oh, it hurts so much, honey!" The man was clearly milking it for sympathy after getting the upper hand!
"Let see!" She supported his shoulder, her gaze filled with worry as she carefully inspected the side of his face.
Across from them, Nathan Leafcastle pressed hard against his stomach, fighting back the bile that threatened to surge up his throat.
