Three people chased after her, grabbing and berating her, ripping her clothes.
In her panic, she grabbed the stun gun from her bag and shocked one of them unconscious. Then, she stumbled onto the road.
It was desolate outside. She had no idea where she was.
Frantically running forward, she saw a car and instinctively rushed towards it for help.
The two guys who had chased her out seed a bit scared when they saw the car and didn’t pursue her anymore. Just as she let her guard down, the car suddenly started and flung her away.
She was holding onto the car door and was imdiately dragged to the ground.
She watched as the car reversed, then drove towards her. Vera Wave looked shocked, but driven by the instinct for survival, she ran as fast as she could.

"The car kept chasing . I was only wearing one shoe and simply couldn’t run fast. Eventually, I ended up on a bridge..." Vera stared at a point in midair, as if looking at the car that had chased her. "It stopped, then reversed, and accelerated aggressively towards ... I turned, climbed the railing, and jumped off."
Vera fell silent for a long ti.
"When I woke up, I was in the hospital. Dad, Grandma, Kendrick... They were all there... I wanted to call you, but Dad wouldn’t let use the phone. A male doctor ca over and wanted to examine . I struggled desperately. Then they restrained and gave an injection. I fell asleep. Later, the police ca. I told them soone wanted to murder , but they still didn’t believe ..."
She lifted her hand and ran her fingers through her hair.
"The doctor said I was hallucinating due to the shock. Everyone believed the doctor, not . Even Grandma thought I was crazy. They fed dicine, these really bitter pills. I refused to take them. Grandma begged in tears, and the nurses held down and forced the pills down... I ran out to try and call you, but the nurses dragged back. They even put in a straitjacket and gave injections to calm down..."
Kris Cooper was already heartsick beyond words and reached out, pulling her into his arms.
"Vera, stop, don’t say any more!"
"I really wanted to co and find you then, but I couldn’t get out. They wouldn’t let make a call. They were afraid I would commit suicide, so they took everything from my room..." Vera hugged his neck. "Dad contacted many doctors and had them prescribe a lot of dicine for . Then, another doctor ca from abroad. He suggested electroconvulsive therapy. Dad promised that if I accepted the treatnt, he would let make a call. I agreed to the treatnt. I went to the doctor’s therapy room, and he attached nurous small electrodes to my head. He gave so dicine to make sleep. And then... when I woke up, I couldn’t rember anything."
For the Wave Clan at the ti, everyone believed that Vera was suffering from shock-induced hallucinations after being ****.
After all, when she was found, her clothes were in rags, and there were obvious scratch marks on her body. The thug she had stunned was also caught and admitted to what he had done to her.
As for her claims that a car had tried to kill her, no one believed her.
