By now, the person in charge of the Arican branch had already returned.
Upon seeing him walk up to the desk, Kris Cooper imdiately handed over the note with the license plate number written on it.
"I need to know who owns that car!"
Having worked for Kris Cooper in Arica for several years, his subordinates understood their boss’s personality well. Therefore, without asking further, they took the note and left the study.

Kris Cooper snatched the torn paper from the desk, forcefully crumpled it into a ball, and slamd it into the wastebasket.
"I will find you and tear you to pieces!"
Stepping out of the study and returning to the bedroom door, by the ti his hand touched the doorknob, the man’s gaze had softened. He gently pushed open the door, walked to the bedside, and saw the little girl frowning restlessly in her sleep.
He imdiately sat on the edge of the bed, then lay down on his side beside her and gently stroked her hair.
"Don’t be afraid, Vera. I’m here!"
Since Vera Wave initially considered this incident to be an ordinary traffic accident, she quickly regained her spirits after a day of rest.
The next day, Kris Cooper took her to the castle again. This ti, he wasn’t taking any chances; he not only brought several bodyguards for protection but also carried a gun.
Vera Wave remained completely unaware. Revisiting the familiar place, she had a wonderful ti. She toured every room, took many photos, and even pulled him into several shots together.

"The car was stolen. Its original owner, a lawyer, reported it missing two days ago. I’ve investigated the driver. He’s an unemployed drifter with no job, no social security, and no credit card. His nickna is Rat Johnny. Basically, he’d do anything for money—a complete scumbag."
All this information confird Kris Cooper’s suspicion: this was no ordinary car accident.
"Any informants?"
"We haven’t found any yet. He doesn’t have many friends—just a girlfriend who’s a prostitute, and she says she hasn’t seen him in three days."
Three days? Kris Cooper’s brow furrowed. Co to think of it, it had been exactly three days since he and Vera had entered the country. Such a coincidence?
"Also..." The subordinate hesitated for a mont. "Everything’s set in Las Vegas. Do we need to reschedule?"
