Kris Cooper leaned back into his chair to receive it, his amber eyes seemingly unintentionally glancing over to the hillside not far away, catching Nathan Leafcastle’s expression in the corner of his eye.
Opposite them, Nathan Leafcastle watched them deliberately show off their affection, trying his best to appear calm.

Vera softly called his na, only then did he straighten up, raised the wine glass toward the three, and downed it in one gulp.
