"Nothing much, just getting ready to take on the Jade River project to prevent a cash flow interruption," Kris Cooper replied.
"That’s good."
With that, he hung up Kenton Maverick’s call and then made similar calls to several other friends. After those calls, he had already secured at least two billion in cash flow, so even if Barker’s funds were to fall through, he could handle it.
After doing this, he called the finance departnt, instructing the Finance Director to redirect previously arranged cash flow for his use.
"But... if this money isn’t brought back, we won’t be able to manage if we’re taking on the Jade River project!"

"Kris Cooper is convinced that we will cooperate with him, halting the previous cash flow. Once we secure the project, he’ll imdiately be in a pickle."
"Very good," Smith’s voice carried a hint of laughter. "We’ll start operations right away to help you counter other competitors."
Lowering the phone, deleting the call log, Nathan Leafcastle sank into the chair, a cold smile creeping at the corner of his lips.
"Kris Cooper, let’s see... how long you can keep smiling!"
Noticing a small box on the desk, he straightened up and pulled it over.
The USB parts were still inside, after drying for a whole day, the water spots were all gone.
Nathan Leafcastle imdiately took out a toolbox and carefully reassembled the parts, plugged the USB into the computer, and raised his hand to grip the mouse.
With a gentle creak, the door swung open, and Sally Dalton entered carrying a late-night snack.
"Nathan, have sothing to eat. Let’s discuss the contract details while we’re at it."
Glancing at the USB files displayed on the screen, Nathan Leafcastle casually unplugged it and placed it in the drawer, stepping over.
Seeing the bowl of noodle soup, he lightly arched a smile.
"Slls good, did you make it?"
"Yeah, it might not be so good, but make do with it," Sally Dalton handed over the chopsticks, "But... how did you know I made it?"
Nathan Leafcastle smiled; if it were a servant, how could there be such poor knife skills?
"Just guessed."
Watching the man’s handso face, Sally Dalton gave a gentle smile and bent down to eat the noodles.

Nathan Leafcastle frowned, finally unable to hold back and shouted.
