Everyone’s gaze was fixed on Kris Cooper, as Vera Wave softly spoke.
"Kris, are we sealing the bid?"
The other companies had already submitted their proposals, yet theirs was not sealed. Vera was understandably a bit anxious, unable to fathom Kris Cooper’s thoughts at that mont.
Nathan Leafcastle and Sally Dalton, along with others, were also watching Kris Cooper. However, the man simply leaned languidly back in his seat with a subtle smile.
"Tommy Taylor."
"Yes!"
Tommy Taylor imdiately opened the briefcase he had at hand, took out a few printed docunts, and handed them to Kris Cooper.
Sitting beside him, both Vera and Bernardy Dalton glanced at the papers in his hand.
The densely-packed papers were the bid docunts, precisely the part containing the total price and detailed pricing.
After glancing at the docunts in hand, Kris Cooper opened the proposal in front of him and replaced a part with the prepared docunts.
Nathan Leafcastle frowned.
"What are you doing?!"
Kris Cooper ignored him and simply pushed the updated proposal to Tommy Taylor.
"Seal the bid!"
Tommy Taylor stood up, organized the docunts, and placed the final quotation docunt into the file, sealing it with glue.
Concerned, Nathan Leafcastle reached for the replaced docunt and, upon seeing the total quotation on it, his eyebrows jumped with anxiety.
"You..."
"Shut up!"
Kris Cooper frowned and scolded him.
Nathan Leafcastle clenched his teeth and closed his mouth. The tender was not over, and revealing any flaws at this mont could give the opponent an advantage.
After sealing the proposal, Tommy Taylor stepped up to the podium and handed the sealed proposal to the bidding staff.
Opposite them, Smith glanced at Nathan Leafcastle’s expression and whispered a few words to his assistant.
The assistant nodded and imdiately took another set of proposals from the briefcase, handing it to the podium as well.
Observing this scene, Kris Cooper subtly raised the corners of his mouth.
All the proposals were submitted, and the staff carefully collected them and left the bidding room.
Smith stood up, glanced across at Kris Cooper and his team, and left with his partners and associates.
Watching Smith and his group leave the room sideways, Nathan Leafcastle imdiately circled the table to confront Kris Cooper.
"You changed the bid price?!"
"That’s right."
His voice was soft, but everyone heard it, even Vera looked surprised.
Changing the quotation one minute before sealing the bid, what was Kris Cooper playing at?
"Then..." Nathan Leafcastle tightly clutched the quotation sheet, "How much did you change it to?"
Kris Cooper smiled, "10.9 billion!"
"What?!" Sally Dalton exclaid, "Reduced by 600 million?!"
That was 600 million!
The original price was 11.5 billion, which was already squeezed for profit. Reducing it by another 500 million, what profit margin would be left?
Is this guy crazy?
Nathan Leafcastle stood up abruptly, his face ashen as he spoke, "You’re playing with Barker’s interests here. If our success is affected this ti because of your quotation, I will definitely hold you accountable!"
Securing this project, once in hand, would take at least a few years to complete. Compressing a profit of 600 million, this guy is simply insane!
Kris Cooper rely shrugged.
"Whatever you say!"
"You..."
Nathan Leafcastle raised his finger, pointing at his face, about to burst.
"Nathan!"
Sally Dalton hurriedly extended her hand to pull him back, along with the assistant, leading him towards the door.
