The third-level magma giant Jie Ming faced was no ordinary leader.
At its birth, beyond its searing magma, it carried a unique, chaotic energy.
From the mont of its creation, the magma giant Hayer Alvarez Alex Atkinson knew from its inherited knowledge that it was a rare “Prophet” variant among its kind.
“Prophets” held an extraordinary status among magma giants, capable of vaguely foreseeing future events.
This foresight wasn’t clear visions but a sense of energy flows and trends, allowing them to preempt dangers or seize opportunities.
In the magma giants’ lore, this was the guidance of their ancestors.
Wizards, however, believed these variants had an innate ability to commune with the plane’s origin, unconsciously accessing its information repository to “predict the future.”
This ti, the Prophet had ambushed the entrance because it had vaguely foreseen enemies intruding.
But its foresight wasn’t infallible.
It had initially predicted the intruders’ strength to be weak, believing the nest’s existing magma giants sufficient, so it hadn’t sought aid from stronger strongholds.
At the battle’s start, events unfolded as expected—a reckless wizard squad, a few easily crushed low-level beings, and itself lying in wait.
But it hadn’t anticipated that this tiny insect, blasted away with one strike and seemingly a re “lowly soldier,” would be so troubleso!
This wizard, with his terrifying turret-like firepower and near-invincible defense, despite his low power level, managed to hold it back!
Worse still, during the fight, its foresight issued another warning.
More dangers were approaching at an unimaginable speed.
One enemy’s power even reached the level of a “high-ranking leader”!
It couldn’t keep dragging this out.
If the wizards’ reinforcents arrived, it… would die!
The Prophet tried several aggressive close-range breakthroughs, all blocked by Jie Ming’s relentless barrage and sturdy shield.
Its roars grew increasingly frantic, its inner magma churning, yet it couldn’t breach the obstacle.
Anger and anxiety filled its massive fra.
“Damn it! I must deal with him now!”
Under imnse pressure, the Prophet rapidly searched its soul’s stored knowledge.
Suddenly, it froze, a strange glint flashing in its eyes.
“Got it!”
It recalled a peculiar secret technique, one every Prophet instinctively learned at birth.
In truth, this wasn’t so grand supernatural power but a simple ntal and cognitive curse.
It could disrupt a target’s judgnt and perception, causing brief confusion and hesitation.
Normally, this technique’s primary use for a Prophet was to ensure simple-minded, thoughtless magma giant soldiers obeyed its commands and prophecies without question.
Against higher-level magma giants, it reinforced trust in its predictions.
In short, a tool for charlatans.
Within the clan, this ability was rarely used in combat.
As a special Prophet variant, it already possessed superior combat strength.
It could manipulate earth vein energies more extensively, drawing on the deep volcanic power to enhance itself, with lee and elental control slightly stronger than ordinary magma giants of its level.
Typically, it didn’t need such unorthodox interference.
But today, using it in battle to disrupt this strange wizard’s judgnt might just work!
If he hesitated for even a mont, it would have enough ti to break through his defenses and tear the other wizard apart!
Thus, during its next full-force charge, the Prophet channeled all its energy and rage, its massive body surging forward with overwhelming might.
Simultaneously, an invisible, intangible ntal curse wave silently shot toward Jie Ming!
Perfectly concealed within the Prophet’s blazing energy fluctuations, it was nearly undetectable.
The curse wave, like an invisible viper, reached Jie Ming through visual contact.
But the instant it was about to take effect, it hit a barrier.
It was the “Mysterious Astral Mortal Dust Barrier” always enveloping Jie Ming.
This protective treasure, refined from vast amounts of mortal dust and astral energies, had silently clung to his body.
As the curse struck, the stored astral and mortal energies within erupted like an enraged primordial beast!
The curse’s guiding force beca a conduit for the barrier’s power to unleash.
In a re instant, most of the stored astral and mortal energies surged back along the curse’s invisible ntal pathway, like a raging tide, counterattacking with even greater ferocity!
This wasn’t just a ntal rebound but an assault of chaotic emotions from countless beings in the mortal dust, a fundantal pollution and shaking of the soul!
Jie Ming hadn’t expected the opportunity he’d barely hoped for to appear so inexplicably.
All he knew was that the magma giant, previously charging with roaring molten fury, suddenly froze mid-charge as if an invisible hand had choked its throat, its movents eerily halting.
Its massive eyes lost all focus and vigor, becoming utterly vacant!
It was as if its consciousness had been drained by so incomprehensible force in that instant.
Only an empty shell remained, standing still, its once-raging magma now frozen in place.
Though Jie Ming didn’t know exactly what happened or why the giant underwent such a bizarre change, the command he’d given was flawlessly executed by the Five Aggregates Rainbow Mirror!
Faster than Jie Ming could even realize this was the perfect mont, the floating cannon carrying the second-level “Magma Annihilation” staff erupted in dazzling light!
The staff’s dull oval crystal activated instantly, a beam twice as fast as a typical wizard’s cast, laced with visible rune spirals, shot from the cannon’s barrel like lightning.
Its target: the vacant energy core in the Prophet’s molten chest cavity!
Crack!
A precise sound, audible only to Jie Ming and the Five Aggregates Rainbow Mirror, signaled the rune beam hitting the Prophet’s most vulnerable energy core unhindered!
The potent “Magma Annihilation” spell took effect instantly!
After the beam struck, the giant’s massive body didn’t shatter but developed fine cracks radiating from the energy core!
Its flowing magma, as if its essence had been drained, turned ashen, rapidly solidifying, and collapsed into countless fine grains of dust from the cracks!
In re seconds, the colossal Prophet’s body, like a weathered statue, disintegrated from within, completely collapsing!
Its form turned into swirling blackened ash, its vacant head crumbling, dissipating into nothingness, leaving only a small pile of smoking mineral residue.
Its massive eyes lost their vitality, dimming as they fell to the scorched ground.
The nacing third-level magma giant Prophet was instantly killed!
Silence descended, as if even the flowing magma had frozen.
The other third-level magma giant, battling the second-level wizard, seed to sense sothing, letting out an enraged roar, its magma surging as it gathered power.
But Jie Ming gave it no chance to react.
“Kill!” His eyes blazed.
With a thought, the massive “Grand Radiance Form” rune torrent shifted direction.
The thousands of crystal-like rune artifacts, previously suppressing the Prophet, now surged like a tide toward the other third-level magma giant.
Simultaneously, the first-level “Magma Annihilation” rune artifact on his wrist flared, unleashing precise, razor-sharp energy blades like a storm toward the giant!
The second-level wizard, in dire straits with his ntal energy half-depleted and shield faltering, seized the mont.
“Great opportunity!” he roared, squeezing out his last reserves.
His staff glowed with inky green light, guiding a powerful second-level “Magma Annihilation” spell precisely toward the giant’s chest energy core!
Unlike Jie Ming’s near-instant attack, his casting had a slight delay, but his aim was flawless—straight at the giant’s vulnerable energy core!
Boom!!!
Jie Ming’s and the second-level wizard’s attacks struck almost simultaneously!
Jie Ming’s dense energy bullets and blades exploded across the giant’s surface, unable to kill but effectively slowing its massive fra, preventing evasion.
The second-level wizard’s “Magma Annihilation,” seizing the mont, hit the giant’s vulnerable energy core precisely!
The spell’s light erupted within the giant, which let out a pained wail, its massive body trembling violently!
Its magma grew chaotic, its vibrant crimson hue dulling.
It struggled, trying to absorb surrounding magma to heal.
But its body, like a sandcastle, irreversibly disintegrated from within, collapsing into swirling dust before it could finish its wail, vanishing entirely in the underground space!
Both third-level magma giants had fallen!
