I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means Chapter 1564 - 870: Treasures in the Underground City
In the Ruix Underground City,
Geisla crouched, his back pressed tightly against the damp, dark-scented rock wall, taking each step with extre caution.
In this state, it was as if he was treading not on solid ground, but on an Abyss that could swallow him at any mont.
Geisla cautiously backed away, his eyes fixed intently on the Abyssal Demon not far ahead.
Sila’s breathing beca incredibly light and shallow, afraid that his presence might disturb the Abyssal Demons.
His heart pounded wildly in his chest, each beat like a heavy hamr strike, making his eardrums ache.
Sweat rolled down his forehead, blurring his vision, but he dared not wipe it away, only desperately blinking to keep himself alert.
He slowly, slowly retreated, each step requiring imnse effort to control his body without making a sound.
Finally, after a long and agonizing process, Sila reached the fork in the underground city’s tunnel.
Without hesitation, he turned and darted into another direction of the underground city tunnel like a startled rabbit.
Only then did he dare to let out a small sigh of relief, with his tightly wound nerves slightly relaxing.
He leaned against the tunnel wall, gasping for air as if he had just survived a deadly battle.
"That was really dangerous!"
Geisla wiped the sweat off his forehead.
Is it any wonder that the ga ’Divine Revelation’ is so popular?
Everything feels just like the real thing!
When facing those Abyssal Demons, Geisla truly felt as if he was confronting a terrifying entity in reality.
That sense of realism fed back into his ga character’s body, giving him an unparalleled thrill.
This is what a true adventure is about!
Geisla smoothed his breathing and clenched his fist.
To be honest, he’s had real-life adventures too.
But being rather protective of his life, he wouldn’t dare venture into truly dangerous places.
However, in the ga ’Divine Revelation,’ it’s different.
Controlling a ga character that won’t truly die, going on adventures in all kinds of dangerous places is an extrely thrilling experience!
Geisla felt he was about to blur the line between ga and reality.
No choice!
Who could make the ga ’Divine Revelation’ so well-crafted and realistic?
Mind you, he had ventured into the underground city many tis before, and the tis he died to Abyssal Demons were more than he could count on two hands.
No way around it, considering how sensitive those Abyssal Demons’ perception was.
Only after experiencing multiple deaths did Geisla figure out a few tricks.
Combining various Stalker skills, he could even evade threats from Golden Rank Abyssal Demons.
Even so, those three or four Golden Rank Abyss Demon Wolves earlier were still too dangerous.
If they had caught his scent, he’d probably have to start over again.
After avoiding the earlier danger, Geisla oriented himself and continued deeper into the underground city.
Because he had no companions, venturing alone into this perilous underground city, Sila took every activity within it with utmost care.
He was like a lone hunter, cautiously exploring for his own treasures in this dark world.
He still enjoyed this kind of gaming experience very much.
Moreover, while mapping the underground city along the way and completing commissions from the Church of the Gods and the White Dove Guild, Geisla didn’t miss out on Experience Points.
Though, the rewards for doing so are quite generous.
Last ti when he entered the underground city, Geisla accidentally discovered an Advanced Magic Gem.
The gem emitted a mysterious and brilliant blue glow, like the brightest star in the night sky, instantly catching his eye.
Excited, he carefully pocketed the gem and brought it out of the underground city.
After selling it, he earned quite a lot of Gold Coins.
Though the appearance of small worlds has made more magic resources available, leading to a decline in the prices of Advanced Magic Gems compared to before, it still valued at thousands of Gold Coins.
For soone still at Silver Rank, it was a fortune.
Once exchanged into real-world currency, it directly equated to a few years’ salary.
This left Geisla unable to give up, dismissing his nine-to-five job to begin full-ti mining in ’Divine Revelation.’
Having tasted the sweetness of success, Geisla naturally was unwilling to easily leave the underground city.
He thirsted to find more treasures here, to enhance his strength, making his in-ga self stronger.
However, he wasn’t careless because of his previous success, knowing well the dangers of the underground city.
It was precisely because he hadn’t brought enough Equipnt upon entering the underground city this ti that Sila was now extrely vulnerable.
He was like a snail without its shell, appearing so defenseless in a monster-infested underground city.
Just as long as the Abyssal Demons discovered him, it would be hard for him even to escape for his life.
But he wasn’t worried about death, as he saw it, death only ant returning to the entrance of the underground city.
It’s just that penetrating deep into the underground city is quite labor-intensive and ti-consuming.
After a brief rest, Geisla continued to delve deeper into the underground city.
The air in the underground city tunnel grew increasingly oppressive and stifling, filled with a stench mingled with decay and blood.
Every step Geisla took was with utmost caution, his eyes scanning his surroundings vigilantly, not missing the slightest movent.
