"Howl..."
Suddenly, a black shadow flashed from the side. The light from the torch reflected in and revealed a pair of lush green eyes.
The black shadow moved with extre speed. In a mont, it pounced on the at slab, held the at in its mouth, and sped away.
Igris was about to move.
Suddenly, his back tightened as a gust of cold wind blew against it.
Igris’s eyes went wide. Lifting the long-hilted sword, he turned around and swung it, delivering a horizontal slash.
"BOOM!"
The stroke was fast and furious; it was as if it had been practiced innurable amount of tis.
Igris’s body executed it by instinct.
He saw the huge black shadow pouncing towards him get struck by the Sword and felt the backlash from the blade striking sothing hard.
Borrowing the montum from the huge impact, the long-hilted Sword swept away the oncoming black shadow.
"BAM!"
The black shadow slamd into the ground, rolled over a few tis, and emitted a pained growl.
Igris could finally see what the shadow was.

It was a huge Shadow wolf! Its waist had been cut wide open by his Sword!
Igris’s face changed slightly.
"What’s the fuck is a Level 5 monster doing here?"
Before he could think about it further, two other wild wolves pounced towards him from the dark.
His body reacted in the first second by instinct.
Tilting the long-hilted Sword leftwards, he blocked one of the wild wolves with its long hilt. Then, with a swing of his body, he threw that wolf onto the other beast.
"Bang!"
The two dark wolves were thrown into the distance, hurt.
Igris lifted his Sword and unleashed another strike.
The blade sliced down from above, inclining slightly. His wrists vibrated vigorously – they shook thrice in continuous frequency.
"Whoosh!"
The piercing screech of the air being torn apart resounded through the air like a sonic boom as a white scar appeared in mid-air.
Struck with fear, the two dark wolves trembled as the horrifying strike expanded before their eyes.
At that instant, light flashed across the blade of the long-hilted Sword. One of the beasts was beheaded on the spot with a clean Sword stroke.
The tip of the Sword had also nicked the other wolf’s neck, and blood was rapidly seeping out of it.
Igris changed his stance and struck again.
[10x multiplier]
Before the wolf could dodge, it was struck squarely in the neck by the long-hilted Sword that sped up drastically without warning.
"Splat!"
The wolf’s head fell to the ground.
Igris sucked in huge mouthfuls of air, as he stood motionless amidst the corpses.
The continuous series of big movents had left a layer of sweat on his face.
"HOWL..."
One more Shadow-wolf remained – the one which went for the bloody at.
Now, it went around a rock, its two green eyes staring furiously at Igris.
Igris grinned as he stared at the wolf indifferently. He only needed a single sword strike to kill the beast so he wasn’t the least bit scared.
"Eh!?"
Both his eyes opened wide in a stare as he glared fiercely at the wolf.
The last wild wolf focused its stare on him for a mont longer before slowly retreating backward.
The mont it turned its back and was about to flee, Igris’s figure faded along with the wind like an apparition and suddenly appeared by the side of the Shadow-wolf.
Before it was even able to react the blade dragged a thin white scar on the air, slashing directly at the wolf’s neck.
"SPLAT!"
Another wolf’s head dropped to the ground just like that.
Igris’s muscles squird as his boiling blood finally cald.
He then thought back to the battle as he revised his reactions.
’If I had used my speed more efficiently, it would have been more easier to kill them all in a few seconds.’ He couldn’t help but shake his head.
However, this was still a considerable outco. Shadow wolves moved in groups and could have been deadly if he didn’t have the 10x multiplier system.
