Bei Jiale chuckled, "You wouldn’t expect to just say it out loud, would you? I’m afraid the mont I say it, the next mont I’d be tied up."
Wu Yuekai remained silent, anxiety gnawing at his heart.
"After I leave, go to Shichahai and find an old man wearing a gray felt hat fishing. Once I’m safely away, soone will pass the ssage to him," Bei Jiale winked.
Wu Yuekai nodded, "Alright, we’ll do as you say. You can leave now."
Luo Xudong’s information was of utmost importance, and Bei Jiale’s presence here was surely not to waste their ti, especially since she arrived with injuries.
With a glance, Wu Yuekai could tell that Bei Jiale was hurt.
Bei Jiale gave Wu Yuekai a thumbs-up, "Elder, you’re so straightforward. I like that. Those who dilly-dally are just annoying. Alright, I’m off then."
After speaking, Bei Jiale turned to leave, and on her way out, she bumped into Li Xuejun, who was carrying a glass of juice inside.
"Comrade Xiao Bei, no treatnt for Mr. Bei today?" Li Xuejun was a bit surprised to see Beisitian leaving.
Bei Jiale took the juice from Li Xuejun’s hand and drank it in one go. Wiping her mouth, she said, "The juice is good."
With that, she walked out without pause, leaving Li Xuejun puzzled.
"Wait a mont, I’ll walk you out," Li Xuejun glanced at the old chief and followed her.

Li Xuejun found Xiao Bei’s behavior odd today, her personality seed much livelier.

Bei Jiale’s pace slowed, her beautiful eyes shifted slightly but ultimately, she didn’t look over.
She had her back to Li Xuejun, so he didn’t see the emotions in her eyes, filled with complexity, resentnt, and unresolved sorrow.
Bei Jiale said nothing, turning her head to continue walking out. Her steps quickened, losing the steadiness she started with.
At the entrance, Bei Jiale turned into another alleyway. Li Xuejun reached out to call her, but her figure was already out of sight.
"Today’s Comrade Xiao Bei is really strange, and why didn’t Captain Chen co to pick her up? How is she getting back?" Li Xuejun muttered, about to report to the old chief when he heard the sound of an engine. Turning around, he saw the familiar military vehicle approaching.
Li Xuejun’s eyes widened as the car stopped at the entrance, and Beisitian got out from the back seat. Instinctively, he looked back in the direction from which they had just co, then said, "Comrade Xiao Bei, how did you end up on the other side? This... what’s going on?"
He was thoroughly confused.
Beisitian looked at Li Xuejun’s puzzled expression, showing a hint of confusion, "Where did I go?"
Li Xuejun scratched his head and looked again in the direction where Bei Jiale had left, saying, "I clearly saw you walking that way, how did you end up coming from this side?"
Beisitian’s face turned cold, "What did you say?"
Seeing Beisitian’s expression change, Li Xuejun felt that the earlier events were quite peculiar. Glancing down, his face grew serious; the clothes Beisitian was wearing now were different from before!
More importantly, she had walked a path that shouldn’t have allowed her to reach the other side, the route was impassable!
While he was stunned, Beisitian had already headed inside.
Entering the hall, Wu Yuekai was frowning in thought. Seeing Beisitian, a familiar feeling swept over him, he knew this was the girl this ti!
"Why are you in such a hurry, no need to rush," Wu Yuekai said.
Beisitian stared at Wu Yuekai’s face and asked, "Sir, who ca by just now?"
Wu Yuekai glanced at the bewildered Li Xuejun and realized the young man had let sothing slip. No wonder, Li Xuejun must be waiting for answers himself.
Li Xuejun felt as if sothing animalistic was racing inside him. His intuition told him the two Beisitians weren’t the sa person, yet he couldn’t tell them apart.
"It was her, wasn’t it?" Beisitian said definitively.
Li Xuejun looked at Beisitian, wondering who ’she’ was.
"Sit down first, Xiao Li, get so juice," Wu Yuekai said.
Feeling a bit let down, Li Xuejun realized there were things he wasn’t allowed to hear. He was so curious about who this Beisitian was.
Li Xuejun left, and Beisitian sat down, but felt restless. The sudden appearance of Bei Jiale, who had been missing, in front of them and by the elder couldn’t just be for amusent. What had she co for, and what was her aim?
Wu Yuekai knew he could no longer keep Luo Xudong’s matter from her. Since the person was found, after Bei Jiale left the room, he had soone wait, and sure enough, the old man received a call soon after, passing the ssage on.
The old man who had been fishing had already been brought in, needing to be questioned carefully later.
"Girl, Xudong has been found," Wu Yuekai said.
Beisitian frowned, "What do you an?"
Wu Yuekai decided to tell her the outco first, to avoid too severe a shift in her emotions.
"There was news of Xudong disappearing; Bei Jiale ca to deliver the ssage. I’ve already sent people to find them," Wu Yuekai said.
At this point, tasks and missions didn’t matter. After all, the military had already sent out a search and rescue team, so it wasn’t a secret anymore.
Beisitian turned pale. Even knowing Luo Xudong had been found, hearing the word ’disappearance’ still made her heart skip, leaving her breathless.
"How is he now? Is he alright?" Beisitian tried to stay calm, but her voice quivered.
"Don’t worry, since Bei Jiale ca with injuries to deliver the ssage, it ans Xudong is fine," Wu Yuekai hurriedly replied.
Beisitian understood this logic, but until definite news ca, she felt like she was walking on a tightrope high in the sky, with any slight breeze potentially sending her plunging into the abyss.
"Xudong has always been lucky. Just think, for so many years, he’s completed every mission perfectly amidst risk and danger. This task wouldn’t be any different," Wu Yuekai added.
Beisitian blankly nodded, her heart squeezed by an unseen hand. She recalled Wu Yuekai’s words and asked, "Bei Jiale was injured?"
