"He’s injured. Although it’s been treated, I can still detect a subtle scent of blood," said Wu Yuekai.

Beisitian frowned, wondering what hidden sches there might be, and questioned how Bei Jiale knew where Luo Xudong was.

She wasn’t suspecting anything precisely; if there was sothing, it would have surfaced the first ti. She was rely puzzled, worried it could be a planned trap by soone.

No one knew Bei Jiale’s current intentions. She hadn’t t Bei Jiale, so whether she was good or bad was unknown. She could not and didn’t want to judge soone based on others’ words.

Just like the old man said, what she could do now was to wait patiently for news.

But how could one calm their heart down?

"Did she visit her father?" Beisitian had to say sothing else to divert her attention.

Wu Yuekai shook his head, "The servants said she only paused on the gravel path for a mont, not even casting a second glance."

Beisitian was a bit surprised, yet it seed anticipated.

She knew there must be secrets between Bei Jiale and Beidewang, but only when one wakes up or finds the other could their story be unveiled.

She felt regretful; if she had arrived a step sooner, she could have confronted Bei Jiale at the Red Painted Courtyard and t her identical twin sister.

"She calls you sister, perhaps because you were born a bit earlier than her," said Wu Yuekai.

Beisitian nodded and asked, "The old man, did he really say we’re alike?"

Wu Yuekai found this quite surprising too, "More than alike, they’re identical! If I weren’t familiar with your aura, I couldn’t distinguish!"

He had an inexplicable bond with Beisitian, feeling it was related to the strange dreams he had before.

It was precisely because of this bond that he sensed sothing was wrong the mont Bei Jiale appeared. But they were too alike; he couldn’t imdiately admit or deny anything until Bei Jiale turned around, and then he truly realized.

As for the flaw, Wu Yuekai couldn’t pinpoint it, but he just knew that wasn’t the girl.

After hearing this, Beisitian was even more eager to et Bei Jiale, unable to imagine what it’s like to see an identical self, speaking differently, living a different life.

"I’ve asked Professor Qiu; when two people look exactly the sa, there’s only one possibility: Bei Jiale and I are identical twins," Beisitian said. "But even identical twins rarely look completely alike."

"It’s not unheard of. I’ve seen identical people before, though they weren’t people I cared about. Back then, it was rely astonishnt," Wu Yuekai sighed.

Now that it’s soone he cares about, the feeling turns absurd.

Beisitian hadn’t left the Red Painted Courtyard and hadn’t thought of treating Beidewang. She was waiting for news from Luo Xudong.

This waiting undoubtedly beca torture. Even though Wu Yuekai kept chatting with her, her mind was restless, constantly glancing at the phone or the door, feeling soone would walk in with the news she awaited.

"Sir, please call again and check." For the nth ti Beisitian asked, and for the nth ti Wu Yuekai started dialing.

The call went through; Wu Yuekai shook his head, knowing it wouldn’t yield quick results; just traveling there requires ti, let alone finding soone.

But to prevent Beisitian from getting overly anxious, he continued calling one after another.

Beisitian waited from morning till afternoon, and again till evening, pacing the living room, refusing to rest, heart racing, until finally, past seven, a call ca.

Luo Xudong was found!

Beisitian nearly ran, her gaze fixed on Wu Yuekai’s expression, seeking clues in his deanor.

Wu Yuekai nodded repeatedly with the phone, finally giving a "Hmm" and hanging up, turning to Beisitian, "He was flown back, injured. Ready to go with ?"

As long as he wasn’t dead, Beisitian would certainly find a way!

Beisitian nodded quickly, following Wu Yuekai out.

They drove away from the Red Painted Courtyard, heading toward Luo Xudong’s base, Beisitian’s first ti visiting it.

On the way, her breath was shallow, mind racing with a thousand scenarios, ending in ntal chaos.

Specifics were unclear to Wu Yuekai; details from the call were vague, rely hearing he was heavily unconscious, transferred to the military district hospital for treatnt.

On the road, Wu Yuekai received a call; Luo Xudong was transferred to 300 Hospital. Hearing this, his forehead furrowed—transfers happen only when the military hospital is powerless, leading to a transfer to a big hospital!

He instructed the driver to reroute to 300 Hospital.

Beisitian’s heart was in tumult, finally reaching 300 Hospital, she got out and hurried to the ergency room for soldiers.

Hospital was naturally a military hospital; soldiers received priority in treatnt and had a green channel. In Luo Xudong’s case, the green channel was used directly.

When Beisitian arrived, Luo Xudong was already in the intensive care unit, yet to escape life-threatening danger, remaining heavily unconscious, susceptible to shock at any mont.

Despite preparing ntally, Beisitian felt weak in the knees, fortunately, Chen Jinliang quickly caught her.

He and Li Yunfeng had long arrived at the hospital.

"Let in!" Beisitian’s voice was low and hoarse, her face pale, yet she pushed on.

Chen Jinliang and Li Yunfeng exchanged glances, looking at Wu Yuekai; seeing his nod, they spoke to the doctor inside a glass window, who then opened the door.

Beisitian swiftly moved, reaching Luo Xudong’s bedside, where he lay with an oxygen mask, handso features pale, eyes tightly shut, even in coma his brows knitted.

It is said doctors shouldn’t treat themselves, not because of inability to diagnose oneself, but because emotions easily cloud judgnt.

Beisitian now watched the man quietly lying there, the man who entered her heart, silent, for the first ti not sending his gaze toward her as she stood before him.

Beisitian’s mind was chaotic, like a typical family mber, unable to discern Luo Xudong’s condition accurately.
