As long as her friend invited her to an event or asked her out to eat once a week, Roxanna believed they were already close.

But the mont she saw that her friend took her ex-husband from her, Roxanna finally realized that she was nothing more than soone being used.

The reason her friend, Lisa, always invited her out to eat was because Roxanna paid for everything. And Roxanna did it willingly, because she felt thankful just for being invited.

Whenever they attended gatherings with other people, Roxanna would sit quietly, stirring her coffee, while Lisa laughed and talked with everyone else.

So yes, this was the first ti a female friend had talked this much with her, even though Roxanna felt a bit awkward.

[Friend?] Roxanna thought. [Why am I already thinking of her as my friend? We’ve only known each other for a few minutes.]

She shook her head slightly, scolding herself. [But... if we keep talking, would she want to be my friend?]

Then another thought followed, soft and hopeful. [Maybe... she could help Calen too.]

Cyrus and Luan sighed quietly. Even though Roxanna thought she was doing this for Calen’s sake, they knew that deep down, she simply wanted a female friend.

To be honest, they felt sad and sorry for her. Because she wore the face of the "evil Roxanna," most people in the Vixeria Tribe treated her carefully, keeping their distance. They were polite, but awkward. Kind, but unsure.

Even after they explained that she was only the evil Roxanna’s twin, it didn’t change much. In the end, Roxanna still carried Loba’s blood, and that alone made people hesitate.

Her husbands had done everything they could to be good companions to her; they stayed by her side, they listened, and they comforted her.

But they also understood that no matter how hard they tried, they could never fully replace what she was missing.

They could be her husbands, they could protect her, they could love her, but they could never give her the kind of bond that only won shared with other won.

That sense of belonging, that warmth, that feeling of womanhood. It was sothing Roxanna could only find if she had female friends of her own.

"I think I’ll try that," Roxanna said with a small smile. "Thank you for telling ."

Her eyes then drifted to the large fish head lying beside the campfire. "I honestly didn’t expect you to catch a fish this big," she added in surprise.

The reindeer beastwoman puffed out her chest proudly. "Oh, this is sothing we do all the ti!" she said. "Since we can’t go down the mountain very often, fish are our main food."

She shifted to the side and waved Roxanna over. "Co here! Co here! Sit here!" she said cheerfully. "Once the fish is ready, I’ll let you taste it first." Then she glanced at Roxanna’s husbands and added with a grin, "Your husbands can wait for the next at we roast."

Roxanna let out a small, awkward laugh. "That’s okay," she said gently. "They can wait a little longer."

She fell silent for a mont before reaching out her hand toward the reindeer beastwoman. "Should we introduce ourselves?"

"Oh, right!" The reindeer beastwoman suddenly took off her skull mask as well, and at that mont, Roxanna felt as if she were looking at another angel standing before her.

The woman in front of her had golden hair, bright enough to rival the sun itself. Her red eyes sparkled like rubies now that they were no longer hidden behind the mask.

But what shocked Roxanna the most was not her beauty, it was her smile.

Her smile was so warm, so open, that Roxanna felt as if she could hear a soft song from heaven in her heart every ti the woman smiled.

"I’m Aelin!" She quickly grabbed Roxanna’s hand and shook it up and down several tis with great enthusiasm.

"I’m sorry if I’m being too excited," she said quickly, "but to be honest, I’ve wanted to see a pink fox in person for a long ti. Everyone says that female pink foxes are beautiful, and I think that rumor is true!"

"You’re really beautiful!" Aelin added happily. "I’m so glad I finally got to et you!"

Roxanna felt her cheeks grow warm. Even though this was the face of the evil Roxanna, her face in her past life hadn’t been that different from her current one.

The only real difference was her hair and eyes. She used to have brown hair and green eyes, but she hadn’t expected that pink hair would make her look even more radiant.

"You’re beautiful too," Roxanna said softly. "And I’m Roxanna."

"Roxanna?" Aelin suddenly stopped shaking her hand. She froze for a mont, as if sothing important had just crossed her mind.

A mont later, Aelin suddenly widened her eyes and said, "For the Mountain God’s sake," she exclaid, "you have the sa na as one of our oldest ancestors!"

"Aelin!" Another beastwoman beside them quickly covered Aelin’s mouth. She leaned closer and whispered sharply, though Roxanna could still hear her. "You can’t say things like that so easily in front of outsiders!"

Aelin’s eyes flickered with panic, only then did she seem to realize what she had just said.

[Why are they acting like my na is sothing sacred?] Roxanna thought. [Anyone can have the sa na. Even my real na is Roxanna too.]

Besides that, if Aelin looked that shocked just from hearing her na, then why hadn’t Elior reacted the sa way?

Did he actually recognize it too, but since he was the leader of the Golden Tribe, he was able to control his expression and emotions much better than Aelin?

That thought made her chest feel a little tight because it ant that her na might not be as simple as she believed, and maybe... they knew more than they were willing to say.

Could it be that what Elior wanted to discuss with the elders wasn’t only about how to heal Calen, but also about her na?

Ah, but that didn’t really make sense.

Once again, the na "Roxanna" wasn’t sothing new, and she wasn’t the only person who had that na.

"Is... that na very special to your tribe?" Roxanna asked.
