Daniel had to think farther ahead. What he needed to consider now was how to allocate player resources properly.

Within the NPC powers of World Zone No. 616, he was already at the absolute peak. In Polaris Zone, his word was law. To him, there was little real difference between ruling one major zone or two.

What he cared about more was laying the groundwork for the future and gathering those who would truly be useful.

After making a series of adjustnts on the interface, he set the recruitnt priority to lifestyle-class players, with an upper limit of five hundred million slots.

The reason for this setting was simple: he had already gathered the strongest combat players in World Zone No. 616 under his banner, so he was in no shortage of top-tier battle power.

The trendous value of secondary-class players would only gradually reveal itself in the mid to late stages of the ga—and might even prove decisive.

Of those five hundred million slots, more than one hundred million were already occupied by mbers of Doom Guild, aning there were actually fewer than four hundred million vacancies left.

At present, the total number of players in World Zone No. 616 was close to two billion. Four hundred million lifestyle players would likely account for roughly ninety percent of all such players in the entire zone.

After all, in the early ga, combat classes were far more popular. Those willing to choose a lifestyle path were comparatively few.

Once the settings were complete, Daniel gave priority access to Doom Guild mbers for zone citizenship applications.

The guild channel exploded instantly.

"Boss finally opened the citizenship applications! Double EXP, here I co!"

"All hail Guild Master! You’re the eternal god—we love you!"

"Let see... there’s even a drop-rate bonus? That’s insane!"

"Guild Master is truly divine. Does this count as interstellar immigration? Hahaha!"

Daniel watched the number of applications soar. Only after confirming that every mber of Doom Guild had beco a citizen of Polaris Zone did he open applications to the entire zone.

The World Channel erupted at once.

"Hey, hey, everybody get out here! Lord Faustus is handing out benefits! Double EXP—this is amazing!"

"Long live Faustus! My application actually got approved! I never thought soone with my low level could get in—I’m so happy!"

"Why can’t I get in? I think I’m pretty strong, don’t you?"

"What you think doesn’t matter. What matters is whether Lord Faustus thinks so."

"Polaris Zone! Isn’t this the first zone ever conquered entirely by a player? I can’t even imagine what it’s like over there. Anyone want to head there together?"

Daniel had been ntally prepared. He had known the players of World Zone No. 616 would scramble to apply.

Even so, the result still exceeded his expectations.

In less than a minute, the system notified him that all four hundred million citizen slots had been fully claid.

He could only smile helplessly.

The final major task was to settle the NPC population of Polaris Zone.

This matter could be easy or difficult. Under normal circumstances, the standard thods were little more than tax cuts and public reassurance—both ti-consuming and troubleso.

Daniel hated trouble.

He directly opened the World War exchange interface.

The World War was still ongoing, so points could still be spent.

Too lazy to sift through the list, he simply purchased twelve Primordial Crystals in one go—one for each of the nine main cities, and three for the Imperial City.

The effect of Primordial Crystals was to strengthen national fortune and rally Imperial Morale.

In only a short while, the rioting populace would calm down and return to their hos of their own accord.

Only after finishing all of this did Daniel finally let out a long breath.

Managing an entire major zone really was no easy task.

At the very least, it was even more exhausting than fighting a war.

Shaking his head, he turned his gaze back to the exchange interface.

Next, he was going to Heavenscar.

"At the mont, I’m not really lacking anything..."

His eyes swept over the pet skill book section, and he casually redeed every single SSS-grade skill book with points.

These skills ca in every variety imaginable—active and passive, buffs and debuffs alike—but not one of them caught his eye.

Now that he held a forbidden spell in his hand, such things were worthless to him. At best, they were only fit to be learned by his pet.

He summoned the little stone dragon.

The tiny creature fluttered out of the void, landed on his shoulder, and nuzzled affectionately against his cheek.

Daniel stuffed the entire pile of skill books into its claws, then used EXP cards to feed it all the way to level 150 before tossing it back into pet space.

There was a reason he rarely used the little stone dragon in battle.

The little stone dragon could not share the absurdly overpowered buffs on his body.

In other words, if it killed players, the penalties would be calculated according to the normal punishnt system. It was nowhere near as worthwhile as doing the killing himself.

After checking through everything, Daniel lowered his eyes to the thick stack of [Heavenscar Pass (Low-Grade)] in his inventory.

To complete this class-change trial, he had to travel to an otherworldly plane known as Heavenscar.

And to open the gate to that alien realm, he would need exactly one hundred passes.

Fortunately, he happened to have a hundred and so in his bag.

What kind of place was Heavenscar?

Judging from the scattered hints hidden between the lines of the quest description, it seed to lie in another plane entirely—distant and shrouded in mystery.

What moved him even more was that the reward list for this mission contained, for the first ti ever, two extraordinarily important items.

Aside from the forbidden-grade archer Class Awakening Scroll, there was also a scroll that could unlock an entirely new ga version.

That was simply unheard of.

What did that an?

It ant that as long as he could complete this class-change mission, the gears of the entire ga tiline would fall into his hands.

He would be able to obtain higher-tier equipnt, skills, and resources far earlier than anyone else.

His progression would surpass all of his previous lives by an enormous margin.

Because of that, Daniel’s anticipation for the journey to Heavenscar had reached an unprecedented height.

...

Dranor Plane, Hall of Guidance.

Bzzz—!

The entire hall suddenly trembled. The intricate runes on the floor lit up one after another, activating the special guidance array established in the Dranor Plane.

A vast, crushing pressure descended from nowhere, like an invisible tidal wave, instantly engulfing the entire Hall of Guidance.

The Guiding Emissary on duty, Umdi, shuddered all over, and a blazing light burst from his eyes.

"What overwhelming divine might... This is at least a mid-legendary-grade powerhouse!"

Rubbing his hands together, he grinned so widely the corners of his mouth nearly reached his ears.

Today was his shift, and yet he had run into a figure of this caliber. It was as if smoke had risen from his ancestors’ graves.

The few Guiding Emissaries before him had only received low-grade prodigies. How could their luck compare to his?

"If I can build a relationship with this mid-grade powerhouse, the benefits will be endless."

Umdi understood this perfectly well.

Dranor Plane was only a minor world-plane. By relying on the beginner-level Heavenscar, it had beco a temporary resting place for countless powerful prodigies from innurable planes.

Which one of those prodigies was not imnsely powerful, with sky-high Fortune Points?

If even a tiny fraction of the resources leaking from between their fingers fell here, it would still be treasure beyond imagination.

And if one could befriend such heaven-favored geniuses, the gains would be even greater.

Best of all would be sending the won of one’s family to serve them as attendants—or better yet, to beco lovers, so that the bloodline of such prodigies might flow within one’s own clan.

That would be an opportunity beyond all reckoning.

At that thought, Umdi stared eagerly at the guidance array.

Whoosh—!

A flash of light burst from the magic array, and a towering figure appeared.

That being radiated wild arrogance from head to toe. His eyes swept over the surroundings with suspicion.

A pair of coral-colored curved horns rose from his head. Behind his ears, fine gill slits could be seen. His deep-blue skin was covered in a moist layer of scales, and his muscles were as hard and powerful as reefs battered by the sea.

"Sirenfolk!"

Umdi’s eyes lit up.
