"Don't worry too much. Right now, Goodshow is bedridden with rage, and Agatha is the one effectively in power," Lance said over the comms. "Agatha and I have reached a silent understanding, so she won't push things too far. You can head straight to Death Island and take whatever herbs or berries you need."
"If any League lackeys try to block you, just strike. There's no need for rcy toward the Kanto League right now," Lance added firmly.
"Understood. I'm heading there now."
Feng Che made an imdiate decision. Death Island held more than just plants; it had a volcano he hadn't fully explored last ti. He also rembered the resting place of the Alolan Ninetales and the fields of Snow Lilies waiting to be transplanted.
I won't let those League vultures trample over such treasures, Feng Che thought.
"wtwo, use Teleport. Lock onto the coordinates for Death Island."
wtwo gave a quick thumbs-up, and with a shimr of blue light, they vanished.
Death Island
The newly appointed League Elite, Blaze, stepped onto the lush island.
"A volcano... perfect. This will be the ultimate sanctuary for my fire-type training," Blaze noted with satisfaction. "From now on, this island is my private domain. They say it's full of rare resources. I think I'll help myself."
Blaze grinned. In the wake of the recent chaos, he and Hagen had erged as the biggest winners. With Lance and Bruno transferred to Johto, two Elite seats had opened up. Agatha, knowing that Goodshow already distrusted Blaze and Hagen, proactively pushed for their promotion before Goodshow could block it. Now, Blaze was the official master of Death Island.
As Feng Che arrived, he saw League investigators everywhere, aggressively capturing the local Pokémon. Through wtwo's psychic vision, he spotted Blaze leading the operation.
Blaze is trying to follow Lance's footsteps by building a private legion, Feng Che realized. But they haven't found the Salac Berries yet. I need to get the Pidgeot family out of here first.
He teleported near the Pidgeot's nest. There, he saw the Pidgeot couple guarding the Salac Berry tree, accompanied by a remarkably large Pidgeotto.
"Benefactor, you've returned," the male Pidgeot chirped, descending from the sky.
"A group of humans has arrived, and they're here to capture everyone," Feng Che said. "I've co to move you to my territory. You'll be safe there."
"Let speak with my mate," the Pidgeot replied. The two birds conferred for a few monts. "We will go, but only if you take our nest and the Salac tree. It has been nurtured by our ancestors for generations; we cannot abandon it."
"wtwo, can you teleport the birds and the entire tree back to the Breeding House?"
[wtwo: It's a heavy lift, but I can do it.]
"Gather your kin," Feng Che told the Pidgeot. With a shrill cry, dozens of Pidgey and Pidgeotto flocked to the tree.
wtwo placed a hand on the massive trunk. Radiant blue energy surged out, and with a silent whoosh, the entire tree and the birds vanished, leaving a massive crater in the ground.
Rainbow Breeding House
Venusaur and Zeraora were basking in the sun when a shadow suddenly lood over them. wtwo materialized, hovering as it lowered the giant tree into a spot designated by Venusaur. The grass-type Pokémon used its nature energy to anchor the roots instantly, and the Pidgeot family settled into their new, safer ho.
Death Island: The Flower Cave
Feng Che arrived at the cave where the Gracidea Flowers grew, only to find League investigators attacking the resident Pokémon with Tangrowth and Dodrio.
The Tangrowth, a mass of blue vines with red tips, slamd its heavy limbs into the Diglett and Oddish that tended the flowers. Two investigators, a man and a woman, watched with disdain.
"Gracidea flowers... such rare materials shouldn't be handled by such low-class Pokémon," the woman, Livia, sneered. She raised her high-heeled boot, looking ready to crush a wounded Diglett.
A cold fury ignited in Feng Che. "wtwo, teleport the flower beds and all the wounded Pokémon to the Breeding House. Venusaur will treat them."
He released Ditto. "Ditto, split and transform. Use Arbok form. Attack those two."
One Arbok-Ditto lunged at Livia. "Livia, look out! Dodrio, use Peck!" the male investigator, Vance, shouted. The three-headed bird intercepted the snake.
While they were distracted, wtwo swept the flowers and the gardeners away.
"Wait, the flowers! They're gone!" Livia scread, looking at the suddenly empty dirt.
Vance's Dodrio used Drill Peck to deflect the Arbok's poison needles, but it didn't notice the second Arbok-Ditto appearing behind it. The snake bit deep into the bird's leg, injecting a lethal neurotoxin. Dodrio began to stumble, foaming at the mouth.
"Dammit! Dodrio, return!" Vance swapped in a Donphan. The grey, armored elephant curled into a ball and began a high-speed Rollout.
"Ditto, that's enough. Let's go," Feng Che commanded telepathically. He didn't want a prolonged fight. Ditto used Dig and vanished.
The Snowy Peak
"Vance and Livia encountered two powerful Arbok," Blaze muttered, receiving the report while patrolling on his Talonfla. He spotted a Turtonator below—a large fire-turtle with a star-shaped explosive shell.
[Turtonator: Who is this lunatic? I was just taking a nap. First the volcano gets noisy, now this guy?]
"A powerful Fire-type! You'll make an excellent addition to my team," Blaze laughed. "Go, Magcargo and Arcanine! Subdue it!"
Feng Che heard the distant explosions from the volcano. "Blaze is busy. Ti to finish things here."
He teleported into the ice caves of the mountain. It was eerily silent. The frozen Alolan Ninetales still radiated a faint, elite-tier pressure, exactly as he had left it.
