A day later, after sorting out his mind, Nash took the tier 4 scientific exam.
Reading the first question, Nash couldn’t help but frown.
Although the question was still about basic foundational knowledge, the complexity was not sothing rote morization could solve.
As if a complicated math problem, even if he had all the solutions, example problems, and entire tables of formulas, it would still take a piece of effort for him to answer.
"Quite interesting. It seems the problems they sent you were over the limit," Aldric comnted, seeing Nash frown.
Truthfully, as he read the questions, even he had to fall into contemplation in an attempt to solve them.
He could only wait and see if Nash could solve it.
"The more difficult it is, the better." Nash cald down.
Although it was a little challenging, he didn’t believe it could stump him.
First, he read about all topics related to the questions until he couldn’t find any more.
Spending a few hours, he devoured trillions of books, comprehending them to perfection.
Turning back to the first question, the fog that had been obscuring it earlier was cleared up.
"So that’s it!"
With his mind working at a fast speed, he began to calculate, simulating all possibilities until he could co up with a perfect answer.
After another hour, he finally ca up with a feasible theory, transferring it to the virtual test interface.
Moving on to the next question, Nash continued his thodical process, from reading related topics first, then answering the question.
As each question was sowhat related, the more he answered, the more smoothly he progressed.
anwhile, reading Nash’s answers, Aldric was already rooted to the spot.
Although he answered much faster than Nash, his answer was like that of a toddler compared to an adult.
While it was right, it lacked the sa substance that would make it profound.
Falling into contemplation, Aldric grew silent, slowly digesting Nash’s answers.
---
Five days later, after feeling his mind was about to break, Nash finally answered all hundred questions.
"Huh~ That was brutal..."
Answering those questions was harder than fighting dark beasts for a month straight!
No wonder most were stuck at the Tier 3 Scientific Academician level.
Most would rather specialize in one profession than take this grueling path.
After all, if they specialized in a profession, they only needed to study a single topic and build the corresponding tier of blueprint.
Becoming a scientist, on the other hand, they would need not only to create or discover sothing novel, but also to have the corresponding theoretical knowledge to support it.
Furthermore, besides the status, it might not earn much compared to a professional of the sa tier.
"When can I begin the next stage of the assessnt?" Nash asked, turning toward Aldric.
Besides the written test, there was also the practical assessnt, which should be easier.
"I’ll docunt your practical assessnt after your score in the written test is up."
"When is that?"
"It should be finished soon."
With the questions that Nash answered, so higher-tier scientists must be evaluating him.
Sure enough, just before Nash could ask another question, an evaluation was sent to him.
"Here is your result. See how you did." Aldric sent him the evaluation, a little shocked by the result.
[Nash Navre:
Tier 2 Scientific Assessnt: Written Test
Score: 999.997
Evaluation: SSS]
[Nash Navre:
Tier 3 Scientific Assessnt: Written Test
Score: 999.921
Evaluation: SSS]
[Nash Navre:
Tier 4 Scientific Assessnt: Written Test
Score: 998.561
Evaluation: SSS]
"All SSS evaluations! Hiss—this score is higher than even the Chronos Saint!"
Rembering the Chronos Saint’s score, it seed Nash was a little higher!
Looking at Nash, who was not shocked one bit, Aldric felt he had lived in vain.
It seed his composure was worse than soone as young as Nash.
anwhile, as Nash read his score and evaluation, he wasn’t too shocked.
With the wealth of knowledge in his mind, if he couldn’t answer perfectly, then he could throw his cheat in the trash.
Although he was a few points away from perfection, the missing points were just right not to make him arrogant.
The only thing he was not satisfied with was his score on the Tier 4 assessnt test.
It seed he underestimated its difficulty.
Even after spending five days, he still couldn’t get a near-perfect score.
"Why are you sighing? Are you unsatisfied with your score?" Aldric asked angrily, seeing Nash sigh.
"No, I’m just thinking of sothing."
"You really are..." Aldric didn’t finish and sighed.
Rembering his own score, it seed he hadn’t even gotten 500 points.
To pass the written assessnt, one only needed to score 100 points.
Thus, as long as one answered all the questions correctly without major faults, they could pass.
For the additional 900 points, it was the additional bonus for each key point and substance they had in their answer.
"Can I take the practical assessnt now?"
"Yes, I’ll be your examiner on this test."
"Only you? Is this allowed?"
Having only one examiner to oversee his assessnt felt unreliable.
"Kid, don’t forget I’m a tier 6 scientist! Being your examiner is more than enough!"
"Oh, right!" Nash hurriedly nodded.
As Aldric asked him one question after another and was often buzzing around him for answers, Nash forgot he was a tier 6 Scientist.
He also didn’t have the deanor of a Planetary Master, letting Nash drop his guard.
Coming back to his senses, Nash bowed to Aldric in apology, regaining his respect and cautiousness.
While it might seem that Aldric was amicable and easygoing, it was because he had a greater understanding of lower-tier topics.
If he were so ignorant junior who didn’t know any better, Aldric might have already sent him to hell just for a bit of disrespect.
Even with his identity as a cosmic elite, he could only protect his life.
With Aldric’s words, many would be willing to move for his favor.
"Alright, enough dilly-dallying. Follow to the assessnt site." Aldric waved his hand, unconcerned about Nash’s attitude.
All scientists had eccentric attitudes. If he cared about strength, status, and whatnot, he would never advance further.
In the Covenant of Truth, there was even soone who advanced to tier 8 scientist while still mortal. So what did he care about Nash’s current strength?
As a scientist, only knowledge matters.
