The warriors are still in shock and even as Azaroth gave the order they just stared at him blankly.
Blac turned on them with his wall of darkness and before they could do anything like run they were covered by darkness so deep it swallowed them all. They couldn’t hear or see or feel.
So didn’t even know when their life ended but when the darkness cleared only one remained standing. Kosh. The man waa trembling as he watched all his comrade laying there dead with their eyes blackened and veins of darkness standing taunt on their lifeless bodies.
"Wh..what?" Kosh stamred. It’s as if sothing is broken in him with the way he’s looking.
Blac smiled at him. "Sir Azaroth want you alive, but please give your armour and weapons."
Kosh shuddered and did as he was told. He watched the villagers fall on the bodies on the ground and he felt like he would throw up.
"Why do you keep alive?" He asked with a bitter tone.
Azaroth shrugged. "It matters not, you can thank your luck. I only ask that one of you be kept alive. Right now you are useful but your usefulness can be limited. You will go to Greytown and tell them what your eyes have seen. And this question to them, now that I have killed the Tax collector, what is my gain from them? And if I kill the leaders can I take their place?"
Kosh was shocked. This must be a mad Demon! Suddenly a thought ca to him and he fell to his knees as if in thanks. "Very well. I will go and do as you wish."
Azaroth know what must be going on Kosh’s mind. He’s thinking of delivering his ssage to his bosses in Greytown so they’ll co here to deal with him. That’s exactly what Azaroth want.
Kosh was sent on his way then, he was given one of the mount but Azaroth kept the rest. And the armour was given to the warriors to share to those who are strongest.
Later that day in the evening Azaroth was ditating in the room while the others are still training in the yard. Blac entered and waited patiently in front of him.
Azaroth sensed him one seconds after he entered the room which he found weird. Just what type of ability did this man have? And the way he killed those warriors earlier! So kind of poison? If a fight ever happened then Azaroth must kill him quickly.
He made him wait and when he finished his ditation he opened he eyes and saw Blac watching him intently. "Why are you here?" Azaroth asked.
Blac bowed. "As the leader of the warriors I’m here to know your next plan."
"Is that so." Azaroth said it like it’s not a question, his red eyes on him. "What is your ability?"
Blac was surprised by the question. "I don’t think you are the type to just ask that type of question like that. Is there sothing you want from ?"
Azaroth rested his eyes on him and Blac looked away after a while with a frown. He finally said. "The power you demonstrated earlier is massive. Very powerful. It’s not sothing that’s easy at the Initiate level."
Blac shifted, wondering silently. Is Azaroth weary of his power? That’s likely, is that why he want to know what it’s about. "It’s the power of darkness."
Azaroth smiled. "Is that so. Well, now you want to know about my plan for the next move. It will all depend on your answers, tell about the villages near here."
Blac began. The villages are group in term of power by the amount of Initiate level Awakeners they have. Right now, the Village Azaroth is currently occupying have the least and is the weakest and its the last village to the edge of the prison.
All the Villages surrounded Greytown with the town at the center. The East Villages are under the control of the rebel but the others are firmly under Greytown’s control.
Blac continued. "This is the western Villages and we have six here on this side of the prison. Is there anything else you want to know, sir Azaroth?"
"And the leaders? How do they control the villages?"
"The First Leader controls Greytown directly and the others leaders from Second to fifth each control a region of the prison. Like this West now, it’s under the direct rule of the Fifth Leader. Although all the Leaders are in Greytown, that’s how it is."
Azaroth nodded thoughtful, let guess. "The Leaders are ranked the way they are powerful. From the Fifth upward to the First."
Blac nodded with confirmation and watched Azaroth smile. It’s a smile that didn’t fit, like watching a wolf smile. It felt wrong, it is wrong. He shuddered and looked away.
Three days later in a village not far from the fruit Village but far enough that it took them two hours of hard riding to reach it. Azaroth sat on a cat monster and looked at the wall of the village.
This village is a proper one with a strong wall and a small watch platform for patrols who noticed the odd group of warriors that gathered in front of their wooden gate.
A low bell sounded inside, signaling the warning of trouble to their warriors.
Azaroth gestured. "This will be your first job Blac. You will lead the warriors and attack. This is the prison and they are used to the powerful taking control. Kill those who resist and spare those who did not. Catena and Alex, go with them and you’ll fight the Initiate level among them."
Blac and the warriors bowed while Catena and Alex nodded and then they tapped their mount and they bounced off at the village at a sharp speed.
The villagers might have been caught off guard but they quickly put up a defensive position.
Azaroth wait and watched it all play out with Stallus beside him.
