The villagers know their wooden gate won’t stand up to anything so they poured out to the entrance with spears and swords. The spearn stood at the back while the swordn stood at the front.
"A very strategic formation." Azaroth noted.
Stallus nodded in reply. "But a failed one, they can’t really counter anything from mounted enemies. The trouble will be the Initiate level, really."
And just as she said, the villagers didn’t stand a chance as Azaroth’s warriors poured over them. Spears were raised and so found ho in the flesh of their opponents but most were slapped away and the claws from the monster cat tore into them while the mounted warriors slashed with sword.
The front of the gate was soon cleared and Azaroth together with Catena began to follow them behind.
Blac at the side couldn’t believe his eyes as he watched the warriors he was in charge of tear the other warriors apart. The warriors from the village were shitty and not really fit for anything but farming but now with durable training and good weapons they are doing surprisingly well.
They entered the village stepping on the blood of the warriors and were greeted by the hastily pulled together warriors of the village with the village head himself at the front.
The man is tall and thin with a long nose with and he’s currently holding his sword with a frown. When he saw that it is Blac leading the warriors his expression changed to that of real anger and mockery. "The warriors from the fruit Village? How bold of you to co to Larkspur village!"
The warriors surrounding the Larkspur village head relaxed. And why not? The fruit village that’s weak with just two Initiate Awakeners! Unlike the Larkspur with their four who are currently standing close behind their village head.
Blac shrugged easy on his mount. "We are bold because we have a new head and now we are here to tell you this things – surrender or face death! We are here to sweep over you like the tide of darkness but you can be spared! Just put down your arms and surrender."
The village head’s face twitched with anger and his eyes narrowed in anger. "You... you dare! I’ll kill you! Kill them all!"
His warriors surged forward, a wall of steel and sharp tal.
Blac gestured and his warriors assembled themselves into their team, transferring their essence to the middle and then the ones that collected it raised their hands and essence blasted out, blowing out in a compressed force that hit the first wave of Larkspur force and ate into their cheap armor and rend their flesh.
When the dust settled everyone saw the bodies of the dead warriors killed by the technique given by Azaroth. The Larkspur village shuddered with surprise. What just happened? Is this the sa fruit Village?
It’s as if the attack also opened the eyes of the village head and he realized for the first ti that the warriors are riding cat monsters! What exactly is going on? And who are the two kids riding besides Blac?
The Village head took a deep breath to shout new orders to his warriors but before that they heard a sharp crack and the ground trembled as if sothing shifted deep beneath the earth.
The second wave of Larkspur warriors who had began advancing suddenly got wiped away by earth spikes that jutted out of the ground like fangs.
"Tha...that’s an Initiate level ability!" One of the the Initiate level behind the village head shouted. But it’s an ability he didn’t recognize, he looked around but he didn’t detect it.
Suddenly he flinched and jumped back with the others as the ground they are standing on exploded, the Novice warriors around got small earth needles slamd into their bodies. And in the middle of it all stands Catena holding his chains.
He grinned. "I’ve nearly used all the power of my enchanted tool but it’s worth it to take care of most of the warriors. Now then, I should take care of the main reason I’m here."
The Larkspur village head and the other Initiate rank couldn’t believe their eyes. This kid is the Initiate level cause all the troubles? Is he at the sa rank as the squad leaders of the tax collectors?
The Village head looks as if he has swallowed sothing very bitter as he watched the warriors from the fruit Village fall on his warriors. He opened his mouth where a green glow gathered and then with a howl of sharp wind, a shockwave of green light blasted out.
A powerful attack that didn’t care if you’re an enemy or not as it crushed anything on its path. Catena used his fast reflexes to avoid it as soon as he saw the technique gathering.
Blac saw it and used his darkness to form a thick wall in front of him and also cover so of the warriors. Unfortunately, so were caught in it and their head exploded under the force.
A very powerful technique indeed! All the Larkspur warriors in front of their village head perished as well. It seems the village head can’t cast the technique a second ti so soon and before he can do more and blink to access the situation, a chain with a tal ball flickered like silver streak and bashed his head in like breaking an egg.
"You’re not a good Village head are you?" Catena muttered and then he faced the shocked face of the other remaining Initiate level Awakeners. "And why are you guys so weak for Initiate level? It’s like that Village head back then. Must be the lack of crypt hunting. A pity."
"Stop talking and get to work." Alex said. The sword he raised on his shoulder is already bloodied. "I know they don’t hunt monsters like that but shit! They are so weak! Not like those tax collectors who at least provided so challenge."
The Initiate Awakeners are shocked. One of them step forward and shouted. "I surrender!"
Alex looked at Catena and raised his sword. "Do you hear anything? You don’t? Let’s get the killing started then!"
