The Grand Governor’s illustrious achievents were as notable as his status as a son-in-law.
Seeing the surprised faces of the crowd, Lu Shuai shrugged helplessly, "You all really lack humor, this is so funny yet you’re not laughing."
While his wife’s status certainly provided an advantage, it was only a part of Luthor’s greatness. Lu Shuai said this because he aid to achieve only this part.
Before arriving at the Canon Law School, Li Xin had the misconception that this place was just for a group of second-generation heirs to have fun, while the Night Patrol seed more like the real authority. But only upon arrival did he realize that the structure of the Canon Law School was richer than the top ten universities.
This place gathered important functional departnts for national developnt, crucial to the Li Long Kingdom’s Hex-Tech research and application. In the future, most talents for the Church Court, Knight Order, Council, City Hall, Night Patrol, and other departnts would co from here. I really don’t know how Luthor managed it.
The Li Long Canon Law School was truly remarkable. Besides its Hex-Tech leading the Dao Yuan Continent, it also boasted the Kingdom’s reputed number one library, second only to the National Library of Moncalleta. This was part of the Grand Governor Luthor’s legacy. He put a lot of thought into setting up Celestial Capital Canon Law School as a benchmark example, for starting anything is difficult, and this first step was crucial for his fate.
Once the Celestial Capital model was established, other Canon Law Schools sprang up like mushrooms after the rain.
The next morning, Lu Shuai woke everyone up early. The Black Rose club’s recruitnt was naturally the top priority for entering the Canon Law School. After discussing it yesterday, others had already put it aside, but Lu Shuai had a clear goal.
The Canon Law School’s clubs had high autonomy, with the academy offering considerable freedom and support. The Grand Governor Luthor’s internal philosophy at the Canon Law School was to encourage innovation, advocate justice, freedom, wisdom, and courage, maximizing enthusiasm and vitality. This applied to theology, science, philosophy, and art alike. This "empowernt" also made the youth’s passion unprecedentedly high.
The vitality had to bloom from the inside out. For nobles, this might not be significant; it’s more a novelty. But for the common people, it was akin to a divine blessing.
The resulting ergence of a wave of genius figures beca the backbone of the Li Long United Kingdom’s developnt to this day. Luo Jin himself being an example, such civilian elites like Luo Jin ford the foundational pillars across the Li Long Kingdom.
Without Luthor’s reforms, the likes of Luo Jin wouldn’t exist, and Celestial Capital might have been a different scene altogether.
The four of them did not walk quickly on the way to the Black Rose club from the dormitory—not because they didn’t want to hurry, but because they couldn’t. Among the girls they passed by, at least half out of ten were at least "80 percent" beautiful, and at least one in ten was "90 percent". If you forced yourself to look straight ahead and not notice, you’d have to have sothing wrong in your head.
Xueyin was right about one thing; there really were many pretty girls at the Canon Law School.
Upon reaching the Black Rose club, they wondered if they had co to the wrong place?
The place was packed with people, and the queue was extrely long. Seeing Lu Shuai and the group walk in, eyes instantly focused on them, and soone shouted, "Are you blind? Get in line!"
"Freshn joining the fun, don’t you know the Black Rose doesn’t take freshn!"
Under the watchful eyes and fervent atmosphere, the four of them sheepishly ran to the end of the line, "Don’t they accept freshn?"
"They do, there’s no such rule. We’re freshn too, though freshn generally aren’t admitted. We just want to experience it and perhaps et the legendary President Luo Xue," a girl with a delicate face said, her eyes lingering on Roland. In fact, the nearby girls were mostly the sa, all looking at Roland.
n might not sense the differences between each other, but girls have a keen eye. Under Roland’s contrast, Lu Shuai’s handsoness was at most associated with leadership—the aning. It’s not that Li Xin and the others were unattractive; it’s just that Roland exuded an aristocratic aura that gave girls a warm and gentle feeling. Combined with his high nose bridge, distinct and refined facial features, and clean and refreshing skin, his complexion seed to glow in the morning sun.
Several girls in the vicinity were montarily spellbound.
"The Black Rose values capabilities; we are special recruits, with the best chance!" Lu Shuai couldn’t help but say, "Besides, Sister Luo Xue is quite familiar with my abilities."
Though his thods were sowhat clumsy, Lu Shuai managed to draw so of the girls’ attention with a forced display of bravado, but not much. No one spoke up either. Usually, soone would co up and chat with him instantly, but today Lu Shuai understood one thing—if you want to mingle with beauties, never bring Roland along.
Groups of people went in confidently and ca out dejectedly, leaving Huerta, who was waiting behind, feeling less confident. Although he was strong in his clan, the Canon Law School had a different set of rules. The elders had warned him to adapt to local customs; while the Canon Law School was full of outstanding individuals, with so many people...
Lu Shuai also felt a bit nervous. While he was indeed familiar with Luo Xue, the feeling might not be mutual. Roland and Li Xin, on the other hand, seed rather calm, probably because they weren’t expecting much from the Black Rose club.
Finally, it was their turn. Along with six others, they entered together. Inside the hall, the Black Rose club had fantastic facilities—a special group within the Canon Law School, so much so that even the instructors had to show so respect.
In front of them were three people, two won and a man. The girl in the middle was particularly striking with her long silver ponytail, her hair simply tied back, and her face very refined and beautiful, albeit slightly cold. She must be the current President Luo Xue of Black Rose.
The man on the right spoke up. Following a changeover, with senior brothers graduating, the Black Rose was also facing a major reshuffle. Yet the problem was that talents often congregated at a certain stage. The previous generation saw the ergence of many outstanding individuals, including Luo Xue herself.
Now that Luo Xue was the president, after consecutive days of selection, it was all subpar candidates. Higher grades had already been filtered out in the past, and although half a year had passed, no outstanding candidates erged. Freshn were even less impressive, lacking ability and having too much arrogance, each considering themselves the best.
Nan Kai smiled slightly, "I am Nan Kai, the vice president of Black Rose, and welco to Black Rose. Our selection criteria are simple—have any of you been to the Holy Land? Rember, do not lie; you cannot deceive the President’s eyes. In Black Rose, lying is the greatest sin."
Everyone’s eyes were on the cool Luo Xue in the center, hailed as Celestial Capital Canon Law School’s most talented figure in the last twenty years, exceptionally elected as the president of the Black Rose.
Instantly, the room fell silent. Forget about the battle; so didn’t even know what the Holy Land was, showing difficulty on their faces, mixed with defiance.
"If you’re still unfamiliar with the Holy Land, please co back for the next assessnt; there will be more opportunities in the future. Of course, if anyone has an exceptional skill, it could be considered, but it must be remarkable, so as not to waste everyone’s ti," Nan Kai said.
