"Sothing’s wrong."

After arriving in the island town, Rogel spoke while extending his hand.

The sky was gloomy, as though draped in a layer of coal-gray cloth, and countless gray flakes drifted in the air, resembling a dusklight snowfall.

"This town seems to have been abandoned for a while now."

Lina approached a pile of ashes and spoke softly, her brows slightly furrowed.

Then, she noticed sothing up ahead.

"Rogel, Yas, look at that."

Rogel and the others looked in the direction she pointed.

In the center of town, countless gray flakes piled into heaps around a building resembling an altar. Atop it burned a cluster of gray and dim fla, looking extrely eerie.

[Dusk Fla]

[Explanation: At the final burning of life cos the fuel for Dusk Fla, providing continuous power to its origin source.]

Dusk Fla?

Rogel’s brow furrowed deeply.

Considering the island’s situation, this Dusk Fla appeared to be the root cause of the island’s lifeless state.

Those piles of ashes were likely what the islanders had beco.

This made Rogel take a deep breath, feeling a headache coming on.

He had originally co to Twilight Baisiss for a rest, yet unexpectedly, the island was now utterly desolate, devoid of any sign of life.

Who did this?

Heretics? Or Extraordinary individuals? Or so sort of Extraordinary creature?

"Forget it, let’s leave here first and find an island with people."

Rogel was not in the mood to trace the roots; he planned to find an island first to rest and search for Extraordinary Materials, looking for opportunities to advance.

So, they boarded the Gelin and headed to the next island of Twilight Baisiss.

...

However, before the Gelin could travel far, trouble arose.

In the distance, a fleet of bizarre gray ships approached, carrying dense gray embers.

On these ships, strange creatures composed entirely of drifting flakes, resembling ghosts, eyed the Gelin nacingly, with eerie light flickering in their eyes.

[Dusk Soul]

[Type: Monster]

[Quality: Elite]

[Level: 28]

[Tier: Extraordinary]

[Explanation: Dusk Souls wander the seas, composed entirely of gray flakes, perhaps sustained by that mysterious power in human form.]

"Alright, ca right to us."

Rogel sneered.

He hadn’t intended to involve himself in this matter, thinking to first understand the situation.

Unexpectedly, trouble had co knocking.

Since that was the case, Rogel certainly wouldn’t sit back and wait.

Whoosh!

With a slight gesture of his eyes, Noemi drew her bow and shot three arrows swiftly towards the distant fleet.

However, the arrows passed through the Dusk creatures; their ships also possessed traits of drifting flakes, rendering the arrows entirely ineffective.

"Ho..."

The lead ghost among the ghostly fleet waved his hand, letting out a raspy roar.

He was commanding the fleet to charge at the Gelin!

Whoosh!

The Twilight Fleet ca like multiple gray sharp-headed cones, with fluttering flakes and imposing force.

"Trouble... prepare for battle!"

Rogel shouted, then drew his Brocade Wood knife, brushing his palm over the blade, igniting it with blazing Spirit Fla.

The others also took up their weapons, standing ready.

...

[You killed the Dusk Soul, gaining combat experience.]

The Spirit Fla-ignited Brocade Wood Blade swung by Rogel severed the last Dusk Soul, burning it to ashes.

Lina sheathed her dagger and looked at the disappearing gray flakes.

"It seems the entire Twilight Baisiss Islands might be corrupted by this eerie force."

She looked towards the island ahead that remained devoid of life.

"Rogel, what should we do now?"

She inquired.

After pondering for a mont, Rogel made his decision: "Keep going. Since we’ve co this far, we may as well see who is behind this."

If Twilight Baisiss cannot resupply, then they have no choice but to head to other islands.

But other islands are far from here, requiring a long voyage.

...

"Captain, there’s a fishing boat not far away."

Noemi put down the telescope and spoke to Rogel.

"I see it." Rogel nodded, his vision exceptional as an Extraordinary. It was a normal boat with people on board: "Get closer to it."

Soon, the Gelin approached the fishing boat.

The people on the fishing boat seed quite delighted upon seeing the Gelin arrive.

The two parties quickly stopped.

"Good afternoon, honorable captain, I am Elvert, a fisherman."

At the sight of Rogel, he seed extrely excited, his eyes lighting up as if an innocent person had found a lifeline.

Rogel narrowed his eyes, chuckling aningfully.

"Oh? A fisherman?"

"Why are you alone around here, where are the other islanders of Twilight Baisiss Islands?"

Upon hearing this, Elvert showed a forlorn expression: "I don’t know. I just returned from outside and don’t understand why Baisiss suddenly ended up like this..."

"However, before I left, I saw other islanders heading to the main island, unaware of what occurred there."

He sighed.

"The main island? What are the islanders doing on the main island?" Noemi echoed, puzzled as she began to speculate about the reason behind this.

However, Rogel nodded to him and then smiled inexplicably.

"So, you’re trying to lure us to the main island, right?"
