Li Zhiyan could not believe her eyes.

Ever since she beca a maidservant to her young master, Lin Feng, she had never once seen him smile at a woman like this.

In all her ti by his side, he had always been composed and distant, his expression calm to the point of indifference.

Even when he was with Su Muyao, a woman of exceptional beauty and grace, his reactions had remained restrained.

His words were always proper, his conduct refined, his posture upright and noble. There had always been a barrier around him, cold and invisible, separating him from everyone else.

He was the kind of man who stood above others without even trying.

But now everything was different.

The mont his lips curved upward, Li Zhiyan felt as though the very air in the room had shifted.

It began as sothing subtle, a gentle change in atmosphere, but within seconds it beca undeniable. His smile was not casual or polite. It was not forced or restrained.

It was radiant.

Its effect was extraordinary to the extre.

When Lin Feng carried himself with icy indifference, he was already devastatingly handso.

His distant temperant gave him an untouchable aura, like a snow covered peak towering above the mortal world.

Won could admire him and yearn for him, yet never truly approach him.

But now that he smiled, it felt as though warmth had poured into that frozen mountain.

The unreachable suddenly beca close.

The distant beca warm.

The aloof young master transford into soone who felt safe to stand beside.

Li Zhiyan watched in stunned silence as the two won from the Nine Peaks Sword Sect visibly reacted. Their sharp and vigilant eyes softened without their permission.

The guarded tension in their shoulders eased. It was not shallow infatuation, nor was it re admiration for a handso face.

It was sothing deeper.

His smile carried reassurance. It carried warmth. It carried a strange sense of security that wrapped around the heart like a gentle embrace.

It felt as if all the sorrow and suffering in the world had been montarily erased.

As if every burden they carried had grown lighter.

As if simply standing in the sa room as him was enough to bring comfort and peace.

Even Li Zhiyan herself felt her heartbeat quicken. She had served him for only a few days, yet in that mont she realized she did not truly understand him.

Was this really the sa young master who would quietly drink tea in his loneso, indifferent to the gazes of countless won?

The most alarming part was not the reaction of the younger woman of his guests.

It was the sudden change in the stronger between them, a woman who had lived for hundreds of years and witnessed countless storms of fate.

That woman’s eyes flickered ever so slightly, a brief and almost imperceptible softness that betrayed her composure.

Only for a mont.

But it was there.

This man is dangerous, Xia Xinghe mused silently within her heart.

Her gaze sharpened.

As a veteran cultivator who had survived centuries of turmoil, she did not believe in coincidences. Charm techniques existed. Bewitching arts existed.

Evil Dao thods that manipulated emotions and clouded minds were not rare in this vast world.

Without drawing attention, she circulated her spiritual energy and activated a subtle detection technique.

Her consciousness spread outward like invisible threads, sweeping across Lin Feng’s body and the surrounding air.

She searched carefully.

For hidden incantations.

For distorted spiritual fluctuations.

For the faint trace of demonic arts.

Her probing was precise and refined through centuries of experience. Even a cleverly concealed technique would not escape her notice.

Yet there was nothing.

No abnormal aura.

No twisted Dao rhythm.

No malicious intent.

His spiritual energy flowed calmly and steadily through his ridians, pure and natural. His smile was effortless and genuine.

He was not using any technique at all.

That realization made her heart sink.

Because if no secret art was involved, then this influence ca purely from him.

From his temperant.

From his presence.

From sothing intrinsic to his very being.

Xia Xinghe slowly withdrew her spiritual sense, her expression unchanged on the surface. But inwardly, her vigilance rose to a new level.

If a re smile could sway hearts and soften resolve without the aid of cultivation techniques, then what would happen when this man truly chose to act?

Extrely dangerous, she corrected herself silently, her eyes lingering on Lin Feng’s warm expression.

In this vast world of schers and power struggles, there were many kinds of threats.

So wielded swords.

So wielded poison.

So wielded deception.

And so wielded charm so naturally that even the strongest cultivators could not defend against it.

Lin Feng continued to smile gently at the won before him, appearing completely unaware of the storm of thoughts swirling around him.

And perhaps that was the most frightening part of all.

"Beautiful guests from the Nine Peaks Sword Sect? This must be my lucky day. Please, take a seat. It would be my absolute pleasure to accompany you for as long as you wish."

Lin Feng spoke with an easy smile and gave a simple wave of his hand, his movents graceful and unhurried.

Before they even realized it, Xia Xinghe and Yun Luofeng were already standing at attention.

Neither of them rembered making the conscious decision to do so. But only one of them found this strange.

Xia Xinghe’s brows furrowed almost imperceptibly. She prided herself on her composure and discipline.

To react subconsciously like this, without awareness, unsettled her more than she cared to admit. It was not fear that stirred in her chest, but caution.

Yun Luofeng, on the other hand, noticed nothing unusual at all.

If anything, she felt perfectly natural standing there, her heart fluttering wildly. Her gaze locked onto Lin Feng as though he were the only person in the room.

Had it been possible, tiny hearts might have already been sparkling in her eyes.

"So cool," Yun Luofeng breathed softly, still utterly srized by Lin Feng’s effortless charm.

To her, his smile was dazzling.

To Xia Xinghe, it was absolutely terrifying to witness!
