Desire, admiration, disbelief and all of it mixed together into a chaotic storm within their minds.

So swallowed hard, others forgot to breathe, and a few simply stared, unable to look away no matter how improper it might seem.

"They truly are... goddesses..."

"Even one of them would be beyond reach... yet both..."

"How can such won..." Their voices trailed off, unable to fully express what they were feeling.

If not for the current situation, many would have already stepped forward to offer endless praise, trying to win even the slightest favor from such unparalleled beauties.

But before anyone could say anything further... The two won spoke. Their voices were calm, clear, and full of aning. And in that instant, it was as if an invisible force swept across the hall.

All sound disappeared. Every whisper was cut off mid-breath. Every wandering thought was forcibly pulled back. Silence returned once more, deeper than before.

Because now... It was no longer just about their beauty. It was about what they were about to say. And when goddesses spoke, all these little mortals could do was simply stand there and listen.

"I also did not expect to see you today, Daoist Ancient Maiden," Tang Aining said calmly, her voice steady beneath the veil. There was no hostility in her tone, only quiet acknowledgnt.

And it was the truth.

Qin Ran was far older than she was. Tang Aining herself had already lived for more than three thousand years, yet even with that lifespan and experience, she could not clearly gauge Qin Ran’s depth.

Qin Ran was already extrely old by cultivation standards.

When she was younger, there had been persistent rumors that she had lived for more than six thousand years, though she herself had never confird her true age to anyone.

She neither denied nor acknowledged it, leaving others to speculate endlessly over the truth.

What was certain, however, was that one day she had simply appeared at the Grand Purity Temple without any prior announcent. No grand entrance, no background explanation... she had just arrived.

And from that mont onward, she beca one of its elders.

Before her arrival, there were no clear records of her existence within the major sect networks or historical registries.

No verifiable lineage, no docunted past, no traceable origin that could explain where she had co from or what she had experienced before joining the Grand Purity Temple.

It was as if she had simply erged into the cultivation world fully ford.

And yet, despite this mystery, her identity was never truly questioned by those who had witnessed her strength firsthand.

In a world where power defined legitimacy, Qin Ran’s presence alone was enough to silence doubt.

Even the higher-ups of the Grand Purity Temple treated her with a level of respect that was both formal and cautious, as though acknowledging that probing too deeply into her past was unnecessary or even dangerous.

Over ti, she beca known by a particular daoist title that spread beyond the temple itself.

Daoist Ancient Maiden.

Interestingly, this was not a title she had ever claid for herself. Qin Ran never referred to herself with such a na, nor did she ever acknowledge it publicly.

Within the Grand Purity Temple, she was simply addressed as Elder Qin Ran, and nothing more.

Yet among outsiders and even among so who had never t her personally... the title persisted.

This was due to sothing she had done in the past where an incident where she had openly slapped the face of a young master from an ancient clan and defeated him as easily as one would crush a re insect.

That event alone sent shockwaves through the cultivation world.

No one knew exactly how it started or what words were exchanged, only that the result was absolute humiliation for that young master.

He had been reduced to nothing in front of countless witnesses, utterly powerless to resist her. From that day onward, Qin Ran’s na spread far beyond the Grand Purity Temple.

And it was also because of that incident that many began to assu she was not just an elder of the temple, but soone with an equally terrifying background and perhaps even soone from an ancient clan herself.

After all, only soone of the sa level of heritage and strength would dare to treat an ancient clan’s young master so casually... and live to walk away from it unscathed.

"The great Daoist Heavenly Fate did not foresee my arrival today?" Qin Ran replied, a faint smile forming on her lips. There was a trace of amusent in her voice, but also sothing probing beneath it. "I find that hard to believe."

Her tone was light as she gave credit to Tang Aining’s abilities. Divination techniques were anything but simple. Tang Aining did not imdiately respond. Before she could, Yun Wanqing spoke instead.

"If you ca here for Young Master Lin Feng, then you should think twice, Daoist Ancient Maiden," she said, her voice calm yet firm, carrying a quiet seriousness that contrasted with the earlier festive mood. "You are not his match."

Her words were direct. A warning, plain and simple. But there was no malice behind them. If anything, it was concern.

Yun Wanqing did not wish to see unnecessary conflict, especially not involving soone like Qin Ran.

In her eyes, Qin Ran was still a senior in the cultivation world and soone worthy of a high level of respect.

More than that, Qin Ran’s presence carried a righteous aura. It was difficult to associate her with sches or malicious intent.

And yet... Yun Wanqing had already seen what Lin Feng was capable of. She had witnessed the outco of his clash with Daoist Limitless Sword.

Even now, although they knew he was still alive and his soul lantern had not been extinguished... his whereabouts remained completely unknown. That alone was unsettling.

They had considered asking Lin Feng about it. But in the end... they chose not to. So answers were better left untouched until the right ti ca.
