The three won and the sales associate imdiately walked over, curious.
Inside the fitting room, Claire carefully lifted her T-shirt to reveal the lingerie she was trying on. She did a quick spin before pulling her shirt back down.
"So? I wasn’t lying, was I?"
Sharon Lynch’s face went pale. "So what if it’s a D-cup? I was just kidding. Only a moron would buy you the store’s prize piece. Let’s go!"
With that, she was the first to flee the scene, her two friends scurrying after her.
Claire raised an eyebrow. ’Of course, I never expected so moron to actually buy the store’s prize piece.’ Besides, this store’s centerpiece was transparent, and she wasn’t into that kind of thing.
She had only tried on the lingerie for them because she was tired of being mocked and doing nothing in return.
She was determined to change her timid personality. She wanted to beco stronger so she would never be bullied by anyone again.
Just as she was lost in thought, the sales associate ca over. "Miss, are you buying this set or not? If not, please take it off. Don’t wear it for too long, or it’ll retain your scent."
Not wanting to make things difficult, Claire quietly closed the door and changed out of the lingerie.
After getting dressed, Claire ca out and asked the associate, "Miss, do you have that collection in a D-cup?"
She was referring to the teen collection.
The sales associate said, a little impatiently, "That’s the student line. It doesn’t co in sizes that large. Only the collection you just tried on has D-cups, as does the Black Night Siren collection—the one the store’s prize piece is from."
Claire sighed in disappointnt. "Then I won’t buy anything."
"Miss, if you’re looking for a D-cup from a teen collection... forget my store, you won’t find one in any lingerie shop in this mall. No manufacturer makes D-cups for teen lines. They wouldn’t sell."
"Is that so?" Only now did Claire realize there was so much to lingerie.
She had always bought her bras online. She’d even found it strange that her size was always much more expensive than the more common ones. It turned out it was because her size was rare.
’Looks like I’ll just have to go back to shopping online, then.’
Just as she was about to leave, her phone suddenly rang. The caller ID read: Adrian Quincy.
Claire quickly answered the call. "Mr. Quincy!"
"Where are you?"
"I’m in the linge—on the second floor. I’m on the second floor." She had almost said "the lingerie store," afraid he would co looking for her and make things awkward.
"I see you." The line went dead.
Claire spun around, only to find him already standing at the entrance.
’Oh no, he’s coming in!’
Claire hurried out to et him. "Mr. Quincy—"
"Finished picking things out?"
They spoke at the sa ti.
Claire was at a loss for words. She was about to say that the store didn’t have any styles she liked when she noticed Adrian Quincy’s eyes were fixed on the store’s prize piece hanging in the display case.
She couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. ’Is he into that kind of thing?’
"Mr. Quincy, what are you looking at?"
"That set is nice."
"It’s too revealing..." Claire said ekly.
Adrian Quincy slowly leaned down and whispered in her ear, "I want to see."
"..."
’So that’s the kind of person he is...’
’A closet freak!’
Seeing her pursed lips and silent expression, Adrian Quincy’s lips curved into a smile. "I’m just teasing you. Did you find any styles you like?"
"No."
"Let’s go look at other stores." With that, Adrian Quincy turned to leave.
Claire grabbed his large hand, her head bowed as she asked in a small voice, "Do you really like that type?"
Adrian Quincy paused, then looked down at her shy face. "My taste might not suit you. Pick what you like."
"Everyone says my taste is unfashionable."
"Not unfashionable, just outdated."
