"That one is just old and tacky. I want your signature piece, plus that other set from before. Could you please get a 34D of each? I’m taking them all." Claire Sinclair said the last part while looking at the sales associate.

The mont Adrian Quincy walked in, the sales associate knew he was no ordinary man.

’Life is so unfair. Why did such a handso man have to get snatched up by a country bumpkin? Sigh.’

Feeling a mixture of jealousy, pity, and envy, the sales associate went to the stockroom and brought out a 34D of each set. "You’ll be taking both of these?"

"Yes!" Claire Sinclair’s tone was firm.

The sales associate took the items to the cashier at the checkout counter.

After scanning the barcodes, the cashier said, "Hi, your total is 3,200 yuan."

’That’s so expensive!’

Claire Sinclair was about to say she didn’t want them anymore, but Adrian Quincy had already silently pulled out a credit card.

"Card."

’Well, he has the money.’

As they left the lingerie store, Claire Sinclair walked with her head down, feeling utterly dejected.

Adrian Quincy, carrying the bags with her new clothes, asked, "What’s wrong?"

"Are Cabinet mbers allowed to buy such expensive clothes for their families?"

"What’s wrong with using my own money to buy things you like?"

"Okay, fine. I just think it’s a little expensive."

"It’s not."

’Like everyone doesn’t know how high your salary is!’

The thought of spending so much money when she hadn’t even received a single paycheck after a month of work made Claire Sinclair feel awful.

’Once we get back, I have to focus on making my own money. I can’t keep spending his.’

After that, they visited a few other stores.

Claire Sinclair bought several business casual outfits for work, two sets of loungewear, and finally, so shoes and bags.

By the ti they were done, they had spent 100,000, and the expense was so painful it made her physically ache.

Spending so much of his money all at once left her with a deep sense of guilt.

Adrian Quincy, however, was completely unfazed. He even encouraged her to buy more, treating money as if it were dirt.

Before she knew it, the car’s trunk was stuffed full. All Claire Sinclair wanted was to imdiately flee this city of sin.

Just then, Adrian Quincy seed to rember sothing and led her back into the shopping mall.

This ti, they entered a qipao shop that had an air of mystery about it.

To Claire Sinclair’s surprise, Adrian Quincy knew the shop owner.

The owner was a classy woman in her forties, dressed in a simple, solid-colored qipao. She exuded an air of nobility and elegance. Her surna was Hartwell, and Adrian Quincy addressed her respectfully as "Mrs. Hartwell."

"Mrs. Hartwell, this is my wife. Could you please take her asurents? I’d like to commission three pieces."

Hearing the words "my wife," a flicker of surprise crossed Mrs. Hartwell’s eyes. "Adrian, you’re married?"

Adrian Quincy nodded. "Mrs. Hartwell, please keep this confidential."

"Of course. You rascal, you’re finally married. I’m happy for you." Mrs. Hartwell then turned her gaze to Claire Sinclair. "Isn’t this your bodyguard?"

Adrian Quincy explained, "She’s Quinn’s twin sister. Quinn passed away two years ago."

Mrs. Hartwell froze, seemingly recalling sothing, and her eyes began to well up with tears.

"Co over here. I’ll take your asurents."

Claire Sinclair quietly walked over and let Mrs. Hartwell take her asurents, remaining silent the entire ti for fear of saying the wrong thing.

Once the asurents were taken, Mrs. Hartwell said to them, "I’ll have the three pieces delivered to you within the specified ti. After I finish these three, I believe it’s ti for to retire. Forgive for not seeing you out..."

With that, Mrs. Hartwell disappeared into the back of the shop.

Adrian Quincy led Claire Sinclair away.

Back in the car, Claire Sinclair couldn’t contain her curiosity. "Mr. Quincy, who was that Mrs. Hartwell?"
