Claire Sinclair froze. "Hmm?"
"Go see Grandpa at the hospital when you have ti."
"Oh..." ’And here I was, wondering what he was going to say.’
He hung up as soon as he finished speaking.
Claire Sinclair clutched her phone, the man’s pleasant voice echoing in her mind.
Her forr brother-in-law was now her husband. ’How did such an unattainable man beco my husband?’
’Better not to think about it. He loves her sister; what the hell am I to him?’
Claire Sinclair shook her head, forcing herself to stop thinking about all that nonsense.
Just then, her phone suddenly rang.
She excitedly checked the caller ID, thinking it was him calling back. Seeing it was lanie Sinclair’s number, she couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
lanie Sinclair rarely called her, so she figured it must be sothing urgent. She answered unhurriedly, "Hello?"
"Claire, what do we do? Brother Linden’s been arrested!"
’I can’t believe the police notified the Linden Family so quickly...’
But what surprised Claire Sinclair even more was how quickly that little vixen, lanie Sinclair, had gotten the news. ’She sure has her sources.’
’You little vixen. You dared to steal my man? Just you watch how I’m going to ss with you!’
She feigned surprise and said, "What do you an, arrested? Drake?"
"Yes! The police just called the Linden Family to inform them. I just happened to be at their house helping Aunt Linden sweep, and Uncle Linden has already rushed to the police station."
’Going out of her way to the Linden Family’s house to help sweep?’
Heh... ’At ho, lanie Sinclair can’t even be bothered to take a tied-up trash bag out to the bin, let alone do any other chores. But at the Linden Family’s house, she suddenly becos so diligent.’
’No wonder she was always running over to the Linden Family’s place. So she was trying to suck up to Logan Linden’s family all along.’

Claire Sinclair suppressed the urge to tear her to shreds and feigned concern. "How did he get arrested? What did the police say?"
"The police didn’t give a reason; they just told Uncle Linden to co down to the station. But I heard from Uncle Linden that Brother Linden seems to have offended soone important—a real big shot. Anyway, the situation is terrible."
"Sigh, how could this happen..." Claire Sinclair sighed, a smile playing on her lips. ’This is what you call reaping what you sow.’
Seeing that Claire was just sighing, lanie Sinclair grew so anxious that tears welled in her eyes. "Claire, aren’t you worried at all? Hurry up and help think of sothing! What if they lock Brother Linden up for life?"
Claire Sinclair deliberately goaded her. "What’s it to you if he’s locked up for life? It’s not like he’s your boyfriend."
"I-I’m just worried about you, Claire! You two were dating for so long, I’ve thought of Brother Linden as my brother-in-law for ages. And he’s always been so nice to ."
’The nerve of this little vixen, saying that without any fear of being misunderstood.’
’Heh. Whatever. It doesn’t matter anymore.’
With a nonchalant expression, Claire Sinclair said, "Drake is such an upright person. Maybe the police just want to ask him so questions. You don’t need to worry yourself sick over nothing."
"No, it’s not that!" lanie Sinclair shook her head forcefully, finally unable to hold it in. "Claire, the police said Brother Linden is suspected of rape! And there were other charges I didn’t quite catch. This whole thing has already caught the Cabinet’s attention! It’s just really, really serious! Please, you have to help think of sothing!"
Seeing the little vixen in such a panic made Claire Sinclair happy. She laughed and said, "I don’t know any powerful people. What kind of solution could I possibly think of?"
"Claire, even if you don’t, Quinn does! You and Quinn are twins, right? If you just go to Quincy Manor and ask Quinn’s old boss for help, Brother Linden might be released without charges! Claire, please, just go give it a try!"
