Hye’s focus drifted towards sothing else. "It seems this tactic worked way better than I expected. They even lost their cool and tried to scare us away or cause significant damage to stop us from repeating the tactic. If so... Then why don’t I make them taste it again?"
Hye evilly grinned before he gave the order and orchestrated a stealth regroup of his scattered forces. The battlefield was now expanding at a frightening pace, covering up a growing zone of space. And during these monts of his forces’ well-planned retreat, the enemy started to deploy new mirrors.
Just when they took out a hundred mirror pieces, a second fleet appeared all of a sudden. This ti, Hye didn’t send just a small detachnt like before; he sent a much bigger fleet that was composed of a dozen of the sa small detachnts as the first attack.
Twelve different small fleets moved at once, in high speed, all headed towards one single target: the mirrors and the ships carrying them. This ti, the enemy had to pay a hefty price for spreading their forces so thin, leaving behind a small number of ships to protect their treasured God Weapon.
Seeing Hye forces adopt and repeat the sa type of attack drove instant panic into the Toranks. They instantly halted their chase and started to retreat. And at this precise mont, Hye gave another order that would deepen their wounds from this clash.
[Don’t let them retreat in peace, start chasing them, fire all the ti, and move to intercept their retreat path!]
The battlefield escalated fast from one side to another, from one massacre to another. By the ti the Toranks scattered ships returned to defend the mirror carrying ships,
Hye’s warriors did an amazing job and destroyed forty percent of the total ships carrying mirrors, while his Soulers and Reapers managed to snatch three ships and took them away.
The Toranks were heavily shocked by this sudden turn of events. The remaining mirrors weren’t enough to take down a grand world like the Hescos’ holand anymore.
The mirrors could do significant damage without doubt, and yet it wasn’t the main goal of this campaign. They wanted to really destroy the entire planet, exterminate the Hescos empire from existence by one single and deadly blow.
Then watching three ships getting hijacked like this drove them mad. Instantly, they sent a large number of their forces to track down and destroy these ships. Yet thanks to Hye’s orders, the three ships ran directly towards his friends and the kingdom’s generals, the largest fleet he had here.
And then the entire group started a frantic hide-and-seek ga with the Toranks’ big fleet chasing the three hijacked ships, taking them as far away from here as possible.
[Keep the pressure on them, don’t let them catch their breath!] As the Toranks had already sent a large detachnt of their forces, their current forces stationed around the God Weapon remained mirrors were stagnant and weak. They understated Hye’s threat, thinking the main threat ca from the grand fleet that escorted the hijacked ships.
And yet Hye was adamant about proving them wrong.
The first thing he did was to turn his entire scattered fleet on offence. The Toranks’ ships tried to push them back, yet they never chased or ventured deep like before after his ships. And as they feared, another deadly arrow attack ca next, driving more panic and fear into their hearts.
[Did you steal one of their leaders’ daughters or what?!!]
All of a sudden, and in the middle of the hectic battle, Moth sent this ssage over to Hye. The latter knew what was going on; Moth and perhaps even the wounded Grand Elder noticed what happened to the Toranks. And they wanted to know what Hye did to instigate all this rage in them.
[Nothing much, just destroyed a few of their mirrors!] Hye never intended to disclose anything about obtaining parts of the God Weapon. That was initially why he refused any help from the Hescos in this space battle in the first place, [Please tell you are close to activating the defensive network!]
As Moth and the Grand Elder grew curious about what he did, he had to feign weakness and panic, asking about the most important thing right now in the entire war: the fight to reclaim the control centres of the planetary defences.
Yet Hye already knew the answer. He was constantly updated by Lucas, and the latter was doing a trendous job. He managed to reclaim control over a few centres in such a short ti, and yet there were still too many to control.
His forces were advancing steadily and unhindered, as expected from the deadly Soulers and Reapers. According to Lucas, they might need from two to six hours to regain total control over the centres, which perfectly matched Hye’s new plan and strategy.
[Well... We are still midway through!] Moth seed to get startled by such a question. [I’ll let you know when we are close to doing it!]
[Sure, and before activating the defences, let know as I’ll need to add a few more forces to the exclusion list!]
[More forces are coming?!!!] Moth exclaid in shock, totally mistaking Hye’s intentions.
[Hahaha, nah, this ti it’s forces I’ll deploy. The battle is growing way harder and faster than I ever expected. Until the planetary defences are activated again, I’ll need to keep those motherfckers away from your holand, or else...]
Hye didn’t miss the chance to play on this chord, while knowing that Moth might be tricked easily, but not the Grand Elder behind him, [Don’t forget, all these losses I’m accounting in this war will be repaid tenfold, tenfold Moth, no less!]
[T... Tenfold? Ok, let’s talk about that later after the end of this war...]
[No man, co on! I’m the one paying the bill for you! At least give sothing worthy, not so scraps!]
[We will never mistreat you! So let’s talk later, ok?!]
