Now reading: Chapter 1971: An Unknown Fleet Approaches! from I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse, a Action novel by ranmaro.

Hye wasn't mad; in fact, he was evilly and amusingly laughing at Moth. The latter fell directly into his trap and ended up getting nothing out of him. When he closed the ssage with Moth, Hye returned to his task right now, taking out tons of his ships, filling them with normal warriors.

He exhausted a great deal of his Soulers and Reapers so far, either by filling the initial ships he deployed earlier, or forming the grand armies back at the Hescos' holand world. So he preferred to keep the remaining lots in his inventory, just in case.

Once he took out his grand fleet, the situation instantly changed. The Toranks' remaining ships to defend the God Weapon mirrors weren't even enough to stop them. And the enemy never thought of taking any more mirrors any more, fearing to lose more of them on Hye's hands.

Seeing the grand fleet slowly moving and steadily approaching them drove real panic into the Toranks leaders. Instantly, they called back more than half of the fleet chasing the three hijacked mirror ships.

When that happened, Hye's friends and generals could tell he was behind this change. So they pressed forward and attacked the remaining enemy ships, driving them back as well.

In the end, the Toranks lost three ships, couldn't even destroy them, and ended up cornered by a huge fleet from all directions. To make things worse, they didn't deploy any mirrors to use to destroy part of this huge fleet, or even create gaps and holes in their tight formation.

Hye arranged the entire forces at a distance that ensured a stalemate position. The Toranks were the invaders, operating in the heart of their sworn enemies' main camp, while they were way off their closest allied forces. So in any given situation, a stalemate was the worst kind of situation they would ever dream of facing.

Every single ti they tried to break through or attack his forces, they would get hamred hard and retreat with lots of losses. Hye turned the entire battlefield into a reversed Texas cowboy standoff. If any side moved to attack, they would lose greatly. And the numbers of both sides were evenly matched. So there was no advantage at all except by taking grave risks.

One of the risks the Toranks tried was to deploy a few mirrors. Whenever they did that, Hye responded with his kamikaze, arrow formation attack, ending up destroying these mirrors, alongside a few more mirror-carrying ships.

After repeating the process a few more tis, the Toranks finally decided not to do it again. They knew they were facing a very patient, very cunning hunter, one who managed to flip the tables, neutralise their strongest weapon, and corner them into such a deadly end.

And like running sand from one's fingers, ti passed fast, and five hours later, Hye's deadliest warriors managed to take control of the total defence centres at the Hescos holand world.

[I have two pieces of news, one good, and one bad!] Just after the passage of five hours, and as Hye was imrsed in keeping the Toranks under his total control, Moth suddenly sent this ssage.

[Tell both and I'll decide!] Hye casually sent, while giving the order for a new arrow attack to start.

[The good news first, then… The control centres are finally under our control!]

[At fcking last!] Hye sighed, [When can you reactivate the defensive grid? And don't forget to exclude all of my new ships from the exclusion list, ok?]

[I'm already doing this right now as we speak!] Moth paused before adding, [I can reactivate the defensive net in less than twenty minutes. Yet there is the next piece of news that you need to know first… A huge, unknown fleet is approaching us as we speak…]

[What do you an by unknown fleet?!] Hye didn't get his aning, [Are they part of the Toranks forces?]

[To our knowledge, no. They belong to an underground, mighty, nasty, and infamous force…]

[They are theirs!] Without even waiting for Moth to continue explaining anything or telling intel anymore about this force, Hye jumped to this conclusion. It wasn't that hard to guess it; he knew all of the big forces had their own underground detachnts, working in the shadows to do their dirty business.

Hye didn't need to ask about why; he knew the reason himself. He was pressuring the Toranks so tight till they were losing their cool. They knew losing and wasting ti was the only thing they couldn't afford. Giving the Hescos ti was like signing their own death, not the Hescos.

It seed they had already funnelled all the nearby allied forces to their grand fleet that Hye decimated and cornered for long hours. So the only option they had was to use one of their underground forces under their wing. And it seed they were lucky to have such a fleet nearby.

[How can you tell that?!!] Moth was shocked when he saw Hye's instant judgnt and reply. In fact, he already spoke with the Grand Elder about it, and the old man reached the sa conclusion. Even if Moth didn't buy it, seeing two of the most capable n he knew agree on one thing proved it was the right guess.

[Never mind about why, tell how long before they'll arrive here…]

[They are almost here!] out of the blue, the response Moth sent was this shocking: [They are less than ten minutes away from your outside fleet. That's why I'm telling you, it's grave news!]

[Well…] Hye processed the news, [How big is this fleet exactly?]

[As big as the initial Toranks fleet that ca here with the God Weapon!] Moth's reply didn't give any comfort to Hye. He knew this was going to be a tricky situation.

He paid a high price to make sure the Toranks' fleet would be cornered for a long ti, without a room to breathe or act. And yet the incoming fleet was going to give them a life kiss.

Fighting such a grand fleet that was almost here without deploying any defensive asures to stop it was terrible news. Hye knew this was the final stretch the Toranks had before their death and utter defeat.
