Jiang Cheng’s expression froze when he heard that, and he replied weakly,

“I’m being serious here.”

“I didn’t an anything else. With the company offering such great benefits, of course I’ll treasure this opportunity.”

Wang Juan rolled her eyes at Jiang Cheng and began walking around the dorm, checking it out.

......

The Next Day, At Cangxue Gas—

Fang Chang, Wei Yan, and a few core staff mbers arrived early at the company eting room.

“The announcent is ready, right?”

Fang Chang looked toward Zhao Bowen and asked.

Zhao Bowen yawned tiredly and replied,

“It’s all done. The changes planned for the near future and all the various player benefits are included.”

In order to speed up the ga’s progress, he’d stayed up late last night to write the announcent at ho.

“Thanks for the hard work.”

Fang Chang gave Zhao Bowen a pat on the shoulder. Since the company didn’t allow overti, Zhao had no choice but to work from ho. And Fang only asked Zhao to do it—he hadn’t made the sa request of any other staff.

After all, that rule was set by General Manager Chen, ant to ensure the staff could get adequate rest. If he forced people to work at ho, it would defeat the whole purpose.

“Alright, since the announcent is ready, push an update package soon and get the announcent out. Let the players learn about the upcoming changes ASAP.”

“Next up is the in-ga gear. Group One—replace those noble-exclusive items with equivalent alternatives. I want at least half done today. It’s just minor tweaks to the existing models and color adjustnts. That’s doable, right?”

Fang Chang looked at the Group One team leader.

“Manager Fang, we’ve already finished half the replacent gear, and we should be able to wrap up the other half today.”

The Group One lead replied.

“All done? But the task was only assigned yesterday afternoon?”

Fang Chang turned, looking puzzled.

The team lead scratched his head sheepishly,

“Zhao said it was urgent—this affects Tianlong’s survival. So I discussed it with the team and we decided to work on it after hours.”

“Honestly, ever since President Chen changed the policies, we haven’t had to work overti at all.”

“He’s been so good to us. Volunteering for one night of overti? Totally worth it.”

Fang Chang was touched. In the past, no employee had ever willingly worked overti.

Sure enough, President Chen’s company had its own kind of magic.

And ever since the company’s sports day, sothing had changed in the employees. They’d truly begun to embrace the company.

If before, their mindset was “one day’s work for one day’s pay,” and whatever happened to the company was none of their business, now they genuinely saw themselves as part of the company. There was an invisible bond.

Fang Chang finally understood why President Chen handed out such generous prizes at the sports day. It had won over the staff’s hearts.

But it was also an expensive approach—most bosses couldn’t bear to do it, or weren’t willing to.

After all, there’s always cheap labor. If soone doesn’t want the job, just replace them.

Fang shook off his thoughts and turned to Group Two.

“Your group needs to balance the XP values of low-level mobs and adjust the drop rates of the replacent free gear.”

“Manager Fang, we also did a bit of extra work last night, so that’s already done too,”

Group Two’s lead said a little shyly.

One of their mbers was friends with soone in Group One and heard they were working late—so they didn’t want to fall behind.

Working overti for President Chen? Nothing shaful about that.

Fang Chang’s mouth twitched, then turned toward Group Three’s lead.

But before he could speak, the Group Three lead bead and said,

“I gotta admit, sneaky overti is kinda fun.”

“So before I knew it, we finished everything from yesterday’s list too.”

Great.

All three groups had voluntarily worked overti and finished the day’s tasks early.

Fang Chang sighed, then suddenly rembered sothing important.

“I didn’t ask you to work overti, alright?!”

If President Chen mistakenly thought he made everyone work late, Fang was dood.

“Don’t worry, Manager Fang—we get it!”

The group leads said in unison, smiling.

Fang looked at them, completely baffled. Get what?

Well, since today’s work was done, it was ti to assign tasks for tomorrow.

After all, the faster they could revamp Tianlong, the better.

Fang began setting out today’s work schedule. At this pace, they’d finish the overhaul plan in just three days.

Then, the updated ga could launch, and players could imdiately experience the changes.

......

In a small rental apartnt—

Jiang Jiu stared at the ring that had just dropped in-ga, tears of excitent filling his eyes.

After all this ti, he finally got his second piece of gear—

The Dragon-Slaying Ring.

It hadn’t been easy!

Jiang Jiu sighed, then got up to splash his face and refresh himself. But just as he took a step, he heard a clatter beneath his feet.

Looking down, he saw a ss of Red Bull cans rolling across the floor.

He kicked them aside and headed into the bathroom.

After a quick wash, he called Brother Hao.

He’d just gotten a piece of gear—ti to cash in. Hopefully Brother Hao still wanted that ring.

If not, it’d still be another 50,000 yuan in the bank!

Not long after—

Jiang Jiu looked at the 50,000 yuan freshly deposited into his account and grinned from ear to ear.

Worth every bit of grinding he’d done.

He took a short break, then got ready to go again.

......

Inside a luxury villa—

Chen Cong stared silently at the Dragon-Slaying Ring he’d just obtained, then looked over the gear on his character.

So far, he only had six pieces of the Dragon-Slaying set.

After all this ti, he’d acquired eight total—two of which were duplicates. So only six unique pieces.

Right now, he felt a strong sense of hostility from the ga itself.

These gear drops were ridiculously hard to get.

For the first ti, he had money to spend—but couldn’t spend it.

If i Youqian hadn’t publicized the equipnt-buying effort across ga groups and forums, he might not even have managed to collect six different pieces.

And who knew how long it would take to complete the whole set and crush that poser who had humiliated him?

Chen Cong sighed—when suddenly, he noticed a new ga announcent pop up.

That piqued his curiosity. This ga hadn’t released any announcents in a long ti!

He imdiately clicked it openP
