In the middle of the plaza of that ruined, poorly organized city, Ebony heard the elderly soldier nad Marcus, her partner in this fight, say,

"We have co to challenge you to a duel... Brother."

In front of them, the Blizzard Ape rose from his bone throne and, as he walked, made the ground tremble with his four-ter fra.

His fur was white and his shape was like that of a gorilla, except that two enormous fangs protruded from beneath his lower lip, and his chubby reddish nose and face stood out sharply against his pale body.

"Brother?! What do you an brother?! You’re one of them?!" Ebony shouted in shock, stepping back.

"I’m sorry, little girl... But now you’re either with or against them, choose quickly," the old man whispered to her as he removed his armor and clothes, leaving his torso bare.

"Why should I accept another duel if I already beat you once... And why are you bringing a human brat with you?" the Frost Ape asked, scratching his chin.

"She’s just my support... By tradition I can bring one, just like you did last ti... Besides, technically you didn’t win shit."

Marcus rolled his neck, letting his vertebrae crack into place, then spoke a word in a dialect unknown to Ebony.

At once, icy magic began to emanate from the old man’s body as his muscles started to grow, even his height changed until he stood two ters tall, broad and muscular, while runes etched themselves across his skin.

"What are you talking about, idiot brother? I knocked you down and sent you flying off the mountain last ti, I won," the Ape said, laughing as he shook his body like an excited primate.

"You’re still the sa empty-headed fool, aren’t you?" the old man replied, muscles bulging like a bull’s, his gaze serious and furious. "My heart’s still beating, so the duel isn’t over."

The great beast twisted into a wicked grin and threw a punch at the old man, but with unyielding defense he withstood the impact, the collision of flesh so direct that a gust of wind burst outward like an explosion.

Seeing this, Ebony didn’t know who to support or whether she should run, she could only watch as the massive ape began striking Marcus over and over at incredible speed, while he guarded his head and endured each blow.

"(Shit, the air itself is reacting to the impacts... These are brute-force monsters, not like the Dark Elf... If I’m right, I couldn’t beat either of them in a contest of strength... But then which one is better for to win?)"

The blonde began retreating from the violent wind expelled by the clash, but at that mont, straining her vision, she spotted behind the ape a small goblin holding a wooden staff.

That goblin, with a long beard and fur garnts, carried a wooden staff topped with a bear claw, he was a shaman.

Not knowing what else to do, she was about to move to flee, because in the end the ape had a support whose help would eventually tip the battle.

But when she turned, she saw dozens of Frost Goblins surrounding the plaza, all watching the blonde intently, as if waiting for her to try to run and declare herself the old man’s enemy so they could use her body for their base desires.

For the first ti in her life as a woman, Ebony felt the gaze and intentions of true predators who did not seek to eat her body or soul, but to use her for their pleasure.

"(Well... I guess there’s no other option...)"

The blonde returned to the fight and began circling the two monsters still locked in combat.

She made her way toward the shaman, who, chanting in his tongue, was increasing the great ape’s speed.

Ebony swung her longsword, attempting to land a strike, but the shaman, slippery as a rat, began fleeing from her attack.

However, this caused the Frost Ape’s speed to drop, drawing a smile from the old man, who lowered his guard and seized the opening, landing a well-placed punch that sent the giant ape crashing into a house, destroying it.

Seeing such a massive body sent flying by a single blow, the blonde was amazed by the old man’s technique, his stance and movent were clear signs of a rare trait.

"You’re a Warrior Monk?!" the girl asked, halting her pursuit of the shaman, but that mont was seized by the cowardly goblin.

Hiding among his kin, he began chanting softly, activating his spell.

In an instant, the great ape reappeared in the center of the battlefield and, with a precise strike, sent Ebony flying several ters away.

Marcus, anwhile, took advantage of the mont and this ti landed a direct blow to his opponent’s kidney, but instead of showing pain, the beast only grinned.

The blonde flew over the buildings before crashing into so ruins, after the impact she imdiately used her magic to heal herself.

"That hurt, you bastard..." Ebony muttered, wiping blood from her lips, while the goblin spectators simply mocked her.

"Yeah, shove a finger up your asses, idiots, and quit screwing around! You’ll see how your stupid leaders end up..."

Furious, the blonde began pushing her way through the crowd of small, sharp-nosed, sharp-eared creatures.

anwhile, Marcus, unable to endure every blow as he had originally planned, and fearing for the girl’s life, began counterattacking after each dodge.

"(Stupid damn girl! How can she almost get herself killed just because she got impressed... One mistake in battle is fatal... That’s why this ti I can’t hold back, I have to give it everything!)"

The old man began breathing slowly, every second of opening he had, instead of attacking, he chose to breathe.

The giant ape, unaware of his brother’s intent, attacked with full violence and, with a roar, landed a crushing blow to the man’s ribs.

The impact was so devastating that Marcus’s body slid several ters, dragging along the ground while refusing to break his stance.

With heavy stomps, the ground trembled and cracked, overwhelming energy began flowing through the air as with each step the old man drew closer to the ape.

The beast felt fear through pure instinct of self-preservation and began backing away without taking its eyes off his brother, who advanced slowly with dry, heavy steps.

Fearing for his lord’s life, the shaman grabbed one of the subordinate goblins and, in one motion, hurled the body toward Marcus’s face.

But just before the sacrifice reached the old man’s fist, the shaman smiled, spoke a word in his tongue, and activated a magic circle drawn on the sacrificed goblin’s round belly.

"(Shit! Damn support!)" the old man cursed, resigned, as he watched the goblin’s body swell midair.
