[The arrow pierced the chitin like a falling star and buried itself deep in the creature’s flesh!]
[A spray of eerie green blood erupted. The Thunderbeast Mammoth’s charge faltered, its agonized roar making your eardrums ring painfully.]
After the Valkyrie had learned lody of Knowledge, her arrows could no longer be considered purely physical attacks, they carried the dual damage of knowledge magic.
[With the Weakened effect sapping its power, the Valkyrie’s strongest strike dealt a serious blow to the boss.]
[Thunderbeast Mammoth’s eyes blazed crimson. It abruptly turned and charged at the Valkyrie!]
[You spoke the final syllable of your incantation…]
[Your staff rose high as dazzling starlight burst forth!]
[The entire hall filled with blinding radiance, and the beast’s anguished howls reverberated everywhere.]
[When the light finally dimd, a swath of the creature’s upper chitin had cracked and sloughed away, revealing dense cords of muscle beneath.]
[The Thunderbeast Mammoth let out a roar, swung its body around, and charged you again!]
[The Valkyrie drew another arrow swirling with currents of wind and loosed another shot…]

[It abandoned its nearly successful trampling attack on you and instead turned to charge the Valkyrie once more…]
[You raised your staff and began chanting again…]

“Dealing with this brainless boss is so simple. As long as I and the Valkyrie keep kiting it and taking turns inflicting damage, we can make it run around in circles.”
That was the mage’s advantage: high damage and the ability to kite enemies at range. With the Valkyrie’s formidable assistance, he could push this tactic to the absolute limit.

Lin Xun let out a long breath, feeling as though he’d just survived by a hair’s breadth.
