In the area where her palm landed, the bald man’s clothes and the purple scales beneath them were instantly obliterated, leaving behind a ss of mangled flesh and blood.

The injured bald man scread in agony and pitched forward.

He tumbled across the ground, his head smacking hard against the curb.

Lin Li mused to himself as he watched the bald man lying six or seven ters away, his back a mangled ss facing him.
The female Investigator stared coldly at the motionless form of the bald man on the ground.
Although she loathed this criminal, who was wanted for several cris, she only had the authority to apprehend him, not to pass judgnt.
A judge would decide his ultimate fate. She couldn’t let him die at her hands.

The Investigator clicked over in her high heels to the bald man’s side. She crouched down, reached out, and checked his pulse. Finding him still alive, she thought to herself...
’I was already holding back, and he still went down that easily? What a waste of a big fra.’
Once she confird the bald man’s life wasn’t in danger, the Investigator stood up. She then looked over at Lin Li, who was watching the show from a short distance away.
"Sir, this is an official Investigator matter. Please stand back."
"Alright." Lin Li nodded, then pointed behind the beautiful Investigator. "That one’s trying to run."
"Hm?" Alerted by Lin Li, the Investigator imdiately spun around. She saw the tattooed man—the one she’d hit with a crippling blow—stealthily scrambling to his feet to make a run for it.
The tattooed man, still smarting from the painful blow, had hoped to slip away while the Investigator’s attention was elsewhere.
He never expected to be ratted out by so nosy spectator. He shot Lin Li a venomous glare before staggering off in a desperate attempt to flee.
"You dare run?"
The Investigator imdiately gave chase. Compared to the bald man, the tattooed man was far weaker.
With a cultivation of only First Rank Initial Stage, he was barely stronger than an ordinary person. Against the pursuing Investigator, a Second Rank Middle Stage powerhouse, he was like a helpless chick facing a ferocious tiger—utterly incapable of putting up a fight.

She had no intention of using excessive force on a begging criminal. With a cold snort, she walked over to the designer handbag she had dropped, unzipped it, and took out two pairs of handcuffs.
CLICK. Just as she finished cuffing the trembling tattooed man, the Investigator once again heard the spectator call out, "Investigator, the guy covered in purple scales is getting away!"
’Is this ever going to end?’ the Investigator grumbled to herself, annoyed by Lin Li’s latest update. She had just finished cuffing the tattooed man. She lifted her head and looked to a spot not far from where Lin Li was standing.
Lin Li was pointing at the bald man. His back a bloody ss, he was climbing to his feet, ready to bolt again. The man was glaring at Lin Li with pure rage.
Although the Investigator’s palm strike had injured the bald man severely, it wasn’t enough to knock him out cold.
The mont the Investigator’s palm had connected, the bald man knew his own cultivation was no match for hers.
His chances of escaping from her were slim to none. Feigning unconsciousness was his only hope.
Playing dead was a good move. It bought the terrified bald man the second chance he needed.
When he heard his subordinate get kicked to the ground in the distance, the bald man knew his opportunity had arrived. He imdiately scrambled up from the ground, ready to run.
Unfortunately, just like his subordinate, he was ratted out by the spectator.
