Lin Mu and Lin En’s faces fell, and they imdiately took an aggressive stance.
"Jin Ling."
Qiao Xixi pulled Jin Ling back.
She didn’t want Jin Ling to fight the beastn of the Black Stone Tribe for her and the cubs.
No matter how powerful Jin Ling was, even he couldn’t fight against so many.

As soon as Qiao Xixi finished speaking, several beastn ca running up from behind.

The Clan Shaman lifted Mi Lan’s beast-hide skirt, revealing a mangled, bloody wound on her abdon.
The horn had pierced deep into her body, puncturing her intestines.
The Clan Shaman sighed and shook his head. "She’s too gravely injured. I can’t heal her. You should... take her back."
Lin Mu and Lin En were both Mi Lan’s beast-husbands. Hearing the Clan Shaman say she couldn’t be saved, they both broke down in tears of grief.
They weren’t just grieving Mi Lan’s impending death, but also because after she died, they would suffer from the backlash of their partner contract. They might not die, but they would be crippled.
"Clan Shaman, please, I beg you, try to think of sothing else."
The Clan Shaman sighed helplessly.

Qiao Xixi, struck by a thought, crouched down and looked at Qiao Qiao. "Qiaoqiao, can your Healing Skill save her life?"
Qiao Qiao puffed out her cheeks, shaking her head, then nodding.
"They look down on us for being Wandering Beasts. I don’t want to save them."
’She doesn’t want to, but she can.’
Qiao Xixi held Qiao Qiao’s hand and tried to persuade her gently.
"Qiaoqiao, Mother knows that so of the beastn here are awful, but that’s because they misunderstand us. If we can get a chance to clear up that misunderstanding, then we might be able to live in the tribe."
Qiao Qiao nodded, only half-understanding.
"Mother wants to save her?"
"Yes. But only if it won’t hurt you."
’She wanted to stay in the tribe, but not if it ant harming her own cub.’
"I understand, Mother. I can do it."
"Okay. Mother will take you over to try."
"Okay."
Qiao Xixi led Qiao Qiao forward.
"Can you let us try?"
The mont Qiao Xixi spoke, all the beastn turned to look at her.
"Who are you... Wandering Beasts? You have the scent of the Exile Flower on you."
Qiao Xixi didn’t deny it.
"That’s right. We are indeed Wandering Beasts."
Expressions of disgust appeared on the beastn’s faces.
