Hey guys, it's , the author of this little story. Know that I love and appreciate every single one of you, which is why I'm making this post.

As you read in the chapter title, I wanna take a break. Before you take up your pitchforks, let explain why. (TLDR at the bottom)

When I started writing this story, I was motivated by two things: One, I had an idea for an interesting story, and wanted to see it put on paper—or in this case screen.

In the beginning, everything went exactly as I expected; the words flowed out of faster than I could type them, the ideas were fresh and never-ending, and I had so much I wanted to share about this world I created that I had to cut out a five chapter long exposition rant.

But soon enough, the problems began.

I started running out of ideas. I'd written down everything I'd co up with in my idle musings beforehand and had to start coming up with the plot on purpose. My motivation started taking hit after hit, and of course this was all compounded by the fact that I had the brilliant idea to start uploading my story at the start of term, aning that any ti and effort I put into this, was ti and effort I was taking away from my studies.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

Basically, my short lived passion had cooled. (Though not run its course. There are still many things I want to write, and I haven't even wrapped up all the plots I've started, which I refuse to not finish)

That left with only the second motivation: Money.

I'm not gonna sit out here and pretend I'm writing for the love of the ga. I'm not. Despite my desires, I am not like Actus, Ostensible Mammal, or so of the other freaks of nature on this site. I do not want to, and do not think myself capable of writing ten thousand words of story per day. I'm just not built like that. As a result, I needed so other final thing to latch onto and use as motivation to begin—and finish—my story. Seeing Zogarth make 60 000$ per month on patreon was a pretty solid one. (obviously I knew he was the top 0.00001%, but still, you get the idea)

This story... is not doing that. Of course, don't take this as begging for money or anything like that. I'm aware that my patreon is not very good, with only 5 chapters ahead, so don't take this the wrong way. I'm just making an observation.

So where does that leave ? Burnt out, that's where. For the past six months, I've been either working on, or thinking about working on this story almost every single day, with a total of three weeks break in all that ti. I'm goddamn tired, and I catch myself constantly wondering if I could get away with posting shorter and shorter chapters. I realised today that this can't go on, and so I'm giving myself a mandatory holiday before I start actually hating this story, to hopefully recover and find my motivation again.

That's about the gist of it.

TLDR: I'm tired, the story is doing kinda h, so I decided to take a break. See you in a month or two.
