Josh didn’t want to waste ti, so he asked, "Then why didn’t you run away? Did sothing unexpected happen later?"
The little monkey had a look of frustration on its face: "Later, the octopus took Fuer on a long journey, and when they returned, they brought back a rmaid. The rmaid’s power is terrifying, and we were no match. We had no choice but to be brought back..."
The lion looked at Josh and said coldly, "Don’t think that just because you’re the sa kind as Fuer, she’ll spare you. Fuer is a madwoman; those half-dead beast tars were once her trusted followers, and later, weren’t they turned into dolls by her using the rmaid’s power, becoming creatures neither human nor ghost?"
Understanding flashed in Josh’s eyes, so that’s how these dolls ca to be.
The little monkey said, "Those beast tars tried to betray her because she went on a long trip with the octopus, and this is their punishnt."
The lion nodded: "Yes, it’s punishnt. We have to perform juggling with these eyeballs and arms every day to constantly remind those beast tars of their scars."
The little monkey had a look of fear in its eyes: "Fuer is a complete lunatic!"
The lion sneered: "Didn’t the octopus also think about betraying her? In the end, didn’t he surrender at her feet, becoming a lapdog?"
The little monkey waved its hand: "You know that fickle guy, the octopus; with that person controlling him, he can’t escape."
Josh asked curiously, "Who is that person?"
The little monkey shook its head, and gave her a mysterious wink: "Can’t say~"
Josh tried probing a few more tis, but the small animals no longer revealed any new information.
She had no choice but to give up.
They were busy until late into the night, gathering together.
Josh’s counterintelligence plan worked; everyone stopped exchanging information.
The simple eting was nothing more than a gathering of hidden agendas, with nothing substantial to discuss.
As others remained silent, Josh naturally said nothing either.
After the eting broke up, Green Hair was the first to approach her.
They t by the Ferris wheel.
Green Hair was impatient: "How did it go? Did you find out anything today?"
Josh: "I got on the little monkey’s good side and found out that Fuer has a sister. To gain her favor, we might need to start with her sister."
Green Hair relaxed after she shared the information: "Huang Bairen and I tried to gain favor with the octopus. At one point, I heard the octopus talking in his sleep, saying, ’Mom, I’m sorry, Alan, run.’ That’s all I got."
Josh nodded, comforted him a bit, and they left one after the other.
Green Hair went back to rest, but Josh headed towards the concession stand, where Qian Duobao was indeed waiting.
Josh ran over: "How about you? Did you uncover any useful clues today?"
Qian Duobao nodded: "I heard crying coming from Fuer’s room after I left, sounding like Fuer was repenting, saying sorry to her sister, and so on. What about you? Did you get anything out of the little monkey?"
Josh nodded: "Pretty much the sa as you, the little monkey ntioned Fuer has a sister, so we can start there to win over Fuer."
Qian Duobao laughed: "Great! Finally, a lead!"
Josh said: "We’ve been busy all day, go get so rest, we need to be well-prepared for Fuer’s performance tomorrow night."
Qian Duobao nodded.
After they parted ways, Josh went to the stage area.
Huang Bairen was already waiting there, looking displeased when he saw her: "Why so late?"
Josh: "I wasn’t feeling well, just went to the restroom."
Huang Bairen seed impatient: "Did you get any useful information?"
Josh: "Found out from the little monkey that Fuer has a sister. What about you?"
Huang Bairen spat deliberately: "Don’t ntion it, that damn octopus is hard to deal with, can’t get close at all."
Josh squinted her eyes: "If you’re not sincere, I think our collaboration should end."
Huang Bairen: "What do you an?"
Josh: "I know how to handle Fuer’s performance. If you don’t want to be picked to die tomorrow, you shouldn’t hide anything from ."
Huang Bairen eyed her suspiciously but eventually compromised: "The octopus’s eyes seem to be blind, that’s all I know."
Josh nodded, and they each went back to rest.
She used one piece of information to glean three pieces of news in one night.
This thod definitely worked.
Her energy was limited, unable to gather so much information at once.
Using a counterintelligence strategy to sow discord among them effectively got them to help gather information.
Josh returned to the big guy’s side, climbed into his belly, and finally took out the diary.
As expected, having interacted with Fuer’s sister, the diary’s progress unlocked once more.
The diary described the day the octopus broke in, when Fuer’s sister and foster parents were killed by the octopus.
Yet, when the octopus was about to kill Fuer, it stopped, and Fuer realized her foster mother’s soul had occupied the octopus’s body, competing for control over it.
Ultimately, her mother reached a peace agreent with the octopus.
Fuer reopened the circus with the "tad" octopus.
So, the "person" the little monkey referred to should be her mother inside the octopus’s body.
With the octopus’s help, they seized resources from other circuses, acquired new monkeys, lions, leopards, dolphins, and settled in the amusent park as a fixed performance.
To attract new business, the octopus betrayed the undersea world, and when the rmaid King used his body to block a volcanic eruption and beca severely injured, Fuer and the octopus found him and brought him back to the amusent park, building an aquarium for him.
Fearing the rmaid King’s power, the octopus taught Fuer to chain the rmaid King’s tail with suppressant-coated chains, removed his heart, and bound his hands.
Fuer stored the rmaid Heart with her sister Alan’s body; the rmaid Heart could preserve her sister’s corpse indefinitely.
The rmaid King, thus angered, cursed the entire pool, making it inaccessible to people on land.
The water beca his sanctuary, and Fuer wanted to use human technology to ta the rmaids for water performances, but the water’s erosive nature was too strong, corroding anything from the land that entered it.

Visiting Fuer’s room unlocked two story points, and using the diary unlocked the rmaid King’s story point.
This quest should be nearing completion.
Increasing the animals’ favorability isn’t difficult; release them all once it’s over.
The key still lies with Fuer and the octopus.
