He shrugged lazily, "That wasn’t . You know, I’m so good-looking, if it were , I’d definitely let everyone see this face and realize how great the Creator is."
The Cat Nurse looked at him sternly, "Last night, you and the cat weren’t in the room, where did you go?"
Yuze waved his hand, "We were in the bathroom."
The Cat Nurse scolded harshly, "Liar!"
Yuze’s smile didn’t fade, "Nope."
The Cat Nurse looked at him coldly, "Really? Then show the evidence that you were in the bathroom."
Yuze spread his hands, "You say I wasn’t in the bathroom last night, then show the evidence that I wasn’t."
"You!" The Cat Nurse was furious, but helpless against this cunning young man.
Others would be intimidated by their fierce appearance, but this young man clearly wasn’t afraid of them, nor was he easily fooled.
The Cat Nurse glared at him coldly, giving up, and shut the door forcefully, leaving the ward.
Barrage: [Sorry, my voice was too loud earlier.]
[Ah, I see, the little kitty is so smart!]
[To the one above, I rember your ID cursing quite vilely before.]
[Getting slapped in the face ca unexpectedly.]
[This is the second ti I’ve kneeled in Yu’s live stream, more than all the tis since I beca a fan of Yu.]
[This little kitty isn’t using cheats, is she? How did she know she’d be caught on cara by the Cat Nurse if she went out? And wanted the next day?]
Yuze asked the sa question out of curiosity.
Josh’s mouth twitched: [When doing bad deeds, cover your face, that’s what my ntor taught .]
Yuze gave her a puzzled look and typed a ssage in the group: [You have a ntor? Who is it?]
Josh: [None of your business.]
The little kitty didn’t seem too interested in responding to him.
Yuze touched his nose.
The little kitty, having caught up on her sleep, crawled into the front pocket of his hospital gown, "Dayti is for free activities, don’t waste it."
Of course, Yuze knew that.
The two had just stepped out of the doorway when the Cat Nurse returned, glaring at Yuze with a displeased look, "I forgot to tell you earlier, please put the cat on the electronic scale for weighing. I need to record the data later."
Yuze nodded with a smile, "Okay."
Then the Cat Nurse added coldly, "Also, soone will co for a body check later, don’t leave the ward casually this morning. Here is your ward schedule, please adhere strictly to the tis listed."
Yuze took the schedule, and the Cat Nurse pushed him back into the ward, flashing a small smile at the little kitty before slamming the door shut.
Josh stretched her neck to glance at the so-called schedule.
Get up at 6 a.m.
At 7 a.m., a nurse will bring breakfast and record the cat’s weight.
At 8 a.m., they will perform a full body check on the patient, taking two hours.
At 10 a.m., patients need to take the cat outside for so sun.
Return to the ward for lunch at noon.
Two-hour lunch break.
Free ti after 2 p.m., room curfew at 6 p.m., no going out allowed.
In reality, their free ti amounts to just four hours in the afternoon.
Each morning hour is filled with tasks, and though a brief departure is possible, the ti is too short to accomplish much.
Yuze obviously understood this too, and began to slack off, waiting peacefully in the ward for the Cat Nurse’s return.
The knock on their door ca precisely at 6 a.m.
They’d weigh at 7 a.m.; if the little kitten lost weight, he’d have to leave the VIP ward.
Yuze crouched beside the little kitten’s bowl, smiling, "Be good, drink more, it’s weighing ti soon."
Josh: "..."
However, she was indeed hungry.
Josh crouched next to the milk bowl, disregarding the bits of cat food soaked in the goat’s milk, and began drinking with so reluctance.
This cat’s body was truly starved, having gone all night without food.
She gulped down quite a bit.
Yuze’s gaze softened with tenderness as he watched her.
Feeling a bit stuffed, Josh instinctively shook her head and planned to go out for a walk.
An hour might seem short, but it wasn’t.
Yuze followed her out.
Other patients had also opened their doors.
But it was hard to distinguish between NPC patients and actual players.
Josh tagged Yuze in the group: [You go chat and gather information, I’ll go find the cats.]
Seeing the word "cats," Yuze couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, could she really communicate with them?
The two went their separate ways.
There were quite a few kitties in the hallway.
Patients were walking their cats in the corridor, and many cats had just gotten up, becoming attached and affectionate with their humans.
Josh approached a seemingly friendly Arican Shorthair, "Hello."
The Arican Shorthair glanced at her lazily, "Hmm?"
Josh’s eyes lit up; she could actually understand cat language.
It was like having a built-in translator in her head.
Josh asked curiously, "I just got here, why are there so many cats in this hospital?"
The Arican Shorthair gave her a funny look, "Without cats, how can these human slaves get treated?"
"Human slaves?" Josh was puzzled but quickly rembered the other three teammates without cats were locked in the greenhouse.
Turns out, here, only with cats can treatnt occur.
Josh curiously asked, "Can coming here really cure illnesses? I noticed the nurses here aren’t very friendly to patients."
The Arican Shorthair yawned and stretched lazily, "We’re cats, in the Kitty Hospital, we don’t need to be too kind to human slaves. Curing them is rely to make them better serve us, not to actually save them."
Josh recalled the main quest.
Since humans and cats needed to peacefully coexist again, it ant they were previously at odds for so reason.
She looked at the Arican Shorthair, putting on a naive expression, "Arican Shorthair Bro, why do we order humans around like this? Can’t we coexist peacefully?"
The Arican Shorthair gave her a reproachful look, "How could you have such a strange idea?"
Josh tilted her head, "I was just born two months ago, I know nothing."
The Arican Shorthair asked curiously, "Didn’t your parents tell you?"
Josh’s voice carried a hint of lancholy, "My parents are all gone..."
"Poor child." The Arican Shorthair moved closer, affectionately licking her head, saying, "But, I’m not too sure either. Since I was born, this is how cats and humans have interacted."
Josh nodded.
If she couldn’t get any information here, she’d try another cat.
Josh bid farewell to the Arican Shorthair, wandered a bit, and found an older-looking white cat.
The white cat seed to dislike strangers, frowning slightly and trying to avoid her as she approached.
Josh hurriedly leaned in, "White Cat Granny, don’t run."
The white cat looked at her indifferently, "Little one, what do you want?"
