Elder Luo Zhen could not believe his eyes. A Peak Grade Tier-2 Pill!

He had only heard of it from rumors, but now he was staring at four at the sa ti.

Even in the central region, those who could produce four Peak Grade Tier-2 Pills could be counted with one finger.

While he was stunned speechless, Elder Li Huang was staring at Mo Jian.

"Y-Young Master..." She opened her mouth and did not know what to say.

Her shock was too great for her to speak. As an alchemist, she knew how difficult it was to make a Peak Grade Pill.

At her best, she could make a high-grade pill with less than ten percent success.

Watching their shocked expressions, Mo Jian was no fool. He knew the appearance of Peak Grade Pills had changed the rules of the ga.

"You don’t need to be surprised by this. This is the effect of the runes on the cauldron," he said, trying to sound normal while he was deeply shaken.

Who would have expected that rely adding a few runes to a cauldron would produce such an extraordinary result?

"Why don’t we try it again?" he suggested.

"I agree. Let’s try it once again," Elder Luo Zhen added.

He still could not believe the presence of four Peak Grade Pills.

Inwardly, he was afraid to believe a cauldron could allow the creation of Peak Grade Pills.

If it were true, he couldn’t imagine the chaos that it would cause.

Elder Li Huang agreed and began to prepare another batch of Spirit Nourishing Pill ingredients.

Following the new recipe, she activated the cauldron using her spiritual energy and sent a small portion of spiritual energy into the Heat Sensing Runes.

This was what Mo Jian called calibrating. Before the pill process, the alchemist must calibrate the cauldron according to their pill recipe.

When she was done calibrating the cauldron, she began refining the pills.

Mo Jian and Elder Luo Zhen held their breath, their eyes locked on the cauldron.

In no ti, the pill process was completed, and Elder Li Huang slapped the cauldron and ten pills flew out.

Collecting the pills, her heart raced as she checked the pill grade.

Seeing the pills’ grade, her heart skipped a beat. She turned and looked at Mo Jian and Elder Luo Zhen.

"I-It’s the sa... Six high-grade pills and four Peak Grade Pills," she muttered, unable to believe what was happening.

This was insane!

When did alchemy beco this easy?

She had spent over fifty years of her life in the pursuit of alchemy, yet she could only refine high grades by luck.

And yet, a few runes accomplished what she couldn’t do for the past fifty years.

Her emotions were complicated. She did not know whether to be happy or sad.

Elder Luo Zhen watched her expression and sighed. He could imagine what she was going through right now.

When Mo Jian created a machine that could refine artifacts without human supervision, he was also like this.

Mo Jian was quiet and thought for a mont before he spoke.

"This is a good thing."

Hmmm?

Elder Li Huang snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him. She waited for him to explain how this was a good thing.

"I know you feel this is unjust or such a cauldron should not have existed, but you’re wrong."

"Everyone is in pursuit of the great Dao. So, why are you fixated on the old ways?"

"Can the cauldron refine pills without your control? No, it can’t..." He paused to arrange his thoughts.

"Apart from human control, the most important parts are the pill recipe and calibrating. If any of these are wrong, the pill result would be off."

"In short, you’re the one doing the hard work. Runes are just easing your work and increasing your productivity."

Listening to Mo Jian’s explanation, the two elders couldn’t help but nod.

Indeed, it was the truth. Without Elder Li Huang adjusting her pill recipe and calculating the amount of heat needed for each herb to be processed, the cauldron would have failed.

"Elder Li Huang, can you refine another batch? This ti around, you deliberately make a mistake in the calibration."

The two grasped what he was up to, and Elder Li Huang nodded.

Quickly, Elder Li Huang began to refine another batch of Spirit Nourishing Pills, but this ti, she made a mistake in the calibration.

When the result ca out, they were stunned.

"Five lower-grade pills, three middle-grade pills," Elder Li Huang announced.

Mo Jian smiled. He had expected the result. A single mistake could change the result of anything—not only pill-making but runes and other occupations.

"Why are there only eight pills this ti around?" Elder Luo Zhen asked curiously.

He usually saw her refine ten pills. Why was this different?

"That single mistake caused half of the ingredients to burn," Elder Li Huang responded.

"Now, you all see what I’m trying to say. Powerful cauldrons are nothing without a brilliant alchemist behind them."

"Young Master, you’re right. But I don’t understand sothing..." Elder Li Huang had her gaze locked on Mo Jian.

"Why do you say the cauldron is a good thing?"

"Ah! For that..." A shrewd smile crept up Mo Jian’s face.

"Rember, the summit is around the corner. What do you think of showing the world a cauldron that could assist an alchemist in pill-making?"

"We’re not going to show them this superior one. That’s only ant for the sect. But the first one—we can adjust it and allow it to work on two to three pills only."

"What do you think?"

For a mont, the two elders were stunned. They never expected Mo Jian would have such a shrewd thought.

"Young Master, you won’t cease to amaze ," she said with a light smile.

"Young Master, can’t you stop thinking about money for once? With how wealthy you are, can’t your brain just work like everyone else?"

"What do you an? Who is wealthy? You’re wrong. Do you have any idea how much I spend each day on the people under ?" Mo Jian retorted with a righteous look.

"Besides, this ti around I’m not doing this because of money—but for sothing else," he said seriously.

"Really, tell us."
